I think we'll be going with a defensive coach again, which I'm ok with, but we should absolutely be looking at guys who at least understand offense. Cant have a coach who understands nothing about 1 side of the ball.

This charge gets repeated a hundred times a week here - does anyone actually believe a coach can be successful on one side of the ball and know nothing of the other?

Well Rex has had some success for sure, and he seems to have no clue about the offensive side of the ball. I admit, I have no clue how much Rex contributes to offensive preperation, but after 5 years, I dont have much faith in his offensive knowledge.

Ivory/Johnson/Powell is an awful backfield. i cant think of 5 that are clearly worse.

Ivory isnt some pro bowler. he is solid but not spectacular

Geno got to ball fake more, really sell every fake. Pennington could run with this backfield. The only chance this offense has is play faking, counters, traps and bootleg. There is no pocket to speak of, any blitz gets through.

    No more shotgun!

I think Chris Johnson is lacking. I think Marty running philosophy is bad. I think Ivory is solid back. We shouldn't run out of shotgun anymore and Powell should be getting more touches than Johnson.

Jets need a lead blocker and should be running the entire offense from under center, no more shotgun (unless under 2mins).

    Matthews/Brown/Oliver is MUCH better.

The vikings have a great group of backs. Even without peterson they have 2 good young backs. Asiata runs really hard.

Greene and Sankey are not worse then ivory/johnson.

Robinson/Gehart is on par with what we have

Ill give you the colts and oakland

Last year the Jets had the sixth ranked rushing attack in the league. They added Johnson, and now they're in the bottom five?

    Nice try.

The pats run it really well bc teams respect Brady, not bc they have a deep backfield. Their backfield is garbage. They dream of our backfield.

Moringturd doesn't know how to run with decent backs, it's not out of shotgun

No way you've beard of Brandon Oliver before he ripped us. I doubt even the chargers knew who he was either.

And Gerhart is god awful. He hasn't run for 50 yards in a game this year. Even against weak defenses.

Toby Gerhart is really bad, I can't believe he's actually someone's running back and getting touches.

And his name is fucking Toby.

He should have been a fullback. But hey, the guy went to Stanford. You don't waste an education like that.

I doubt Rex gets fired during the season IF he is fired. We have no viable replacement. Our OC cannot run the offense, why would you make him HC? And our DC is really Rex.
