A microcosm of what's wrong with this "franchise." This guy invented Teflon, man. John Gotti has nothing on Terry Bradway. http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/art...His-Deal/6d4cfeca-d784-4834-8696-8f44457a3fe0 “He’s a dynamic playmaker with a ball in his hands, too,” said senior director of college scouting Terry Bradway. “He brings that return element. It was really an attractive pick for us.” Hahahahahahahahahahahaahahaha For those newer Jet fans unfamiliar with his history, simply Google the names: "Dewayne Robertson," "Doug Jolley," and "Mike Nugent" for starters.
Is this neccessary? Its obvious the scouting department liked what Saunders brought to the table, its why they took him.. They were incorrect.
Look, they cut Saunders way too early. One week he's starting on STs and the next week they cut him. Hard to understand. At least try to sign him on your PS. The return game with or without Saunders has been terrible this year. He's currently with the Cardinals on their PS.
I'm still trying to figure out why Bradway is still with the Jets. He was a failure as a general maager, why is he head of anything with this team? Time to move away from Terry Bradway.
Terry Bradway is the biggest mystery in this franchise. I would love one day to learn the backstory behind how he blackmailed Woody into keeping him on the payroll for all these years. 3 different regimes and 14 years, you know he's got dirt on Woody.
Jets braintrust spent an early 4th on Saunders. Darren freaking Sproles could have been had for a 5th. And it's not as if John Idzik has no experience dealing with Mickey Loomis. They were able to get the Chris Ivory deal done, after all. Loomis should have been on Idzik's speed dial the moment Sproles became available. Then again, Sproles does make more than the vet minimum and more than $0 in guarnatees, so I can see why our GM balked.
That quote is worthless, just like Bradway's GM "chops." He said it after the fact, so who cares. It's completely irrelevant. Too bad he didn't "love" Keenan Allen more than he loved Brian Winters.
I wanted Sproles on the Giants man, i'm still pissed that the fuckin Eagles basically stole him for almost nothing. Very surprised the Jets weren't in on Sproles either
My biggest issue is that they gave up on him so quickly. He got one quarter of one season. That's just crazy. I have to think there were personality/character issues.
google 3 postseasons in 5 years, google last AFC east title for Jets too. he's not the GM, after they draft a guy do you think they are going to bash the pick?
The Jets have drafted 39 skill players since Woody took over as owner...not ONE has ever been an all pro. The one constant during that timeframe?Terry Bradway. You do the math. Want a further argument? Rewind back to his time w/ KC & the skill players selected there as well.
Bradway wasn't here in 2000 when we ad 4 1st rd picks. Bradway was in charge 2001-2005., wasn't making decisions post 2005 and who were the AP skill players we drafted pre Bradway? I think the last one was Al Toon in 1985. now he gets bashed for KC players drafted even though he wasn't GM? prior to KC he worked for Giants from 1986-1991 and they won 2 SBs so does he get credit for that since he gets blame for NYJ/KC?
Can you imagine how poorly Sproles would've been mismanaged on this team? 3rd and 2, we need someone to pound it between the tackles. Should we get Ivory or Powell out there? Nah, how about Sproles? What about a RB screen? How about Sproles? No, the D would expect that, lets use our most stone-handed RB, Ivory.
Ok fine.Take Pennington & Becht off his resume & it looks even worse. As for Pre Bradway...maybe they weren't all pro's but the Skill wasn't bad for most of the 90's be it draft or free agency. Problem in the 90's was horrid coaching & the trenches. Adrian Murrell Richie Anderson Johnny Johnson Brad Baxter Johnnie Mitchell Kyle Brady(No he wasn't Warren Sapp but he was decent in redzone & was a great blocker) Fred Baxter Terrance Mathis Chris Burkett Rob Moore Keyshawn Johnson Wayne Chrebet(Undrafted) Those teams had speed, big play ability & dynamic moments.Everything else was a disaster..but Jets were not bad on the outside.
we didn't draft Johnny Johson, Chrebet or Burkett. we gave a up a #1 pick in the '90 sup draft to take Moore who was good but if we have our #1 pick in 1991 we get favre. I like Fred Baxter, nice man but shouldn't be on this list. all of those names outside of Key who was a #1 overall pick sound like Santana Moss(who had better carrer than everyone on that list outside of Key), Lamont Jordan, Chris Baker, BJ Askew, Jericho Cotchery,(also probably better than all not name key on 90s list), Derrick Ward, Joel Dreesen.
