yep they will get just enough wins in the second half of the season to miss out on the top draft picks and possibly save Idzik/Rex's jobs. How encouraging!!!!
Next week is going to be ugly.... Fox will be warning his team of a let down. I think if the Jets gets stomped at home, Rex gets fired and Marty will be the interim.
Can't fire coach with a game on Thursday night. We'll see what happens, but the next 10 days will tell us a lot about the future of this team.
You are wrong, dont base it off stats, the Chargers defense is very good. They werent even fully loaded yesterday.
Yeah and if you just watch the game, they pass the eye test. They are very good, San Diego is the most complete team in the NFL right now. Their QB is playing as good as any in the league, their defense is great, their special teams isnt killing them like it did seasons ago. Their only flaw is their run game but as we saw yesterday, its not that bad.
i'm not saying they are bad, but i'm not going to go gaga over them because they shut a bad offense out. It's not like they are Seattle.
Also, as has been discussed ad nauseum on this message board, points allowed isn't a great statistic for evaluating defenses.
It has nothing to do with our offense, I was saying this in the preseason while this whole board laughed at me when I said the Chargers game was the hardest game on our schedule. The Chargers are the best team in the AFC, its going to be exciting seeing them try to get over Denver.
I didn't see anyone say they weren't balanced. I just don't think they haven proven themselves to be an elite defense just yet.
Lets not crown them? excuse me but I was saying this in the preseason, want me to bump the topic labeled "San Diego Chargers" from August? Read and weep: http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/san-diego-chargers.81280/
