It looks bad all around, I just don't understand how there isn't an assistant running around making sure these guys know what time to be where. _
Herm and Mark who helped us reach 5 postseasons and win 6 postseason games including 2 title game apps and a div title. YES, I appreciate those guys. It's sad that you do not and that is exactly the type of fan that embarrasses the rest of us. The peyton stuff is something totally different but I wouldn't expect you to understand.
Idk if it's been brought up in this post ( too lazy to check) but heard it on the radio this morning. Did Geno just have a slip up of time, which happens when you change coasts..or did he not know that their are different time zones in this country. Cause if it's the latter its a new level of stupid.
Very solid point. A good draft is more than simply picking the right prospect, it involves player development once he hits your roster. While I can totally understand the frustration with Geno, I'm really not sure why so many have faith in placing a 3rd young QB prospect into Rex Ryan's hands. Outside of Kerley & Slauson (who are both far from elite), what offensive prospects have developed into something productive? If Idzik/Woody decide Rex is their guy, then they should trade for some veteran QB. You'll get a lower ceiling but you'll also get a higher floor.
lol...junc...you used to be good at covering up...lol..that is such a typical classic junc. Yeah...knocking down the doors to hire Herm. Im done. Im not getting junc'ed again.
If what stokes said is true a page or two ago, this may fall more on the team than any individual. When its a group of players who do this, then that's a problem far above any one player. But Geno is the big name and sells headlines which is why Costello and others went to single him out out of the bunch.
Yes and no. If it was a group of players then it falls partially on the staff---HOWEVER---it is completely reasonable to point to Geno because as the leader of the team, the most important player on the team, he HAS to be the guy that makes sure folks are where they need to be. Especially himself. Nobody is expecting Nelson or Reilly or Powell or the 53rd man to be the guy making sure teammates know when the meeting is--it'd be nice but it's not expected. It's EXPECTED of the quarterback. Lead by example as well as on the field. _
But its deceptive reporting. Why was Geno's name the only one thrown out if what you say is true? Are the other guys not as important or don't matter? If Geno was having success, would this be pushed as much as the Jets beat reporters are? The Jet beat reporters know anything Idzik, Rex or Geno gets eyeballs to read their writeups, which is why they won't go away from it. Its why Manish pushed Geno with the same question over and over again to try and get a rise out of him, he knows anything Geno or Rex do will be enough to sell their stories and get them on shows like Profootballtalk or countless sports radio spots. Manish probably fist pumped afterwords last week getting Geno to "fight back" knowing that's his head story the next day and will get some national coverage. You gotta know better as a player to not get baited. The Jets suck right now, the QB isn't doing so great and the secondary continues to shit the bed. The Jet reporters are striking the iron while its hot because they know the Jet fans are eating it up.
