So what do you do at QB? Get rid of Geno and then what? Draft another QB with no O line and no receivers?

Sam Bradford would be a good veteran to take a chance on in the offseason. The Rams will likely have a high pick and be ready to move on from him. If he could stay healthy he could be a good QB. Plus he will come with a chip on his shoulder wanting to prove he's the guy again.

Thats a good idea. Build the O line through the draft and take a chance on a guy like Bradford. Thats exactly what the Jets should do instead of wasting a top pick on a QB

I don't know yet man. This season is only half over. But if the Jets replace Geno with Josh Freeman I will seriously renounce this team and be a ronin nfl fan.

Sounds like a good idea until Bradford gets his annual season ending injury

Once again, replace him for the moment while you build the offensive line and get some weapons. Another guy mentioned Bradford which would be a good idea. Just until a real QB in the draft comes along

well if you're afraid of injuries, you won't be able to sign anybody so that isn't a good way of looking at things.

It's too early. There might be a worthy QB in this draft but I need to see this seasons tape and breakdown their stats.

As far as possible stopgaps off the top of my head I'm thinking McGloin depending on how well he plays filling in for Carr (I think he'll do alright). Raiders are committed to Carr. Too bad we let Stanton go.

Injuries happen but the risk of them can be reduced by not depending on injury-prone players.

Bradford works for me, he's injury prone so it would be best to have a good backup.

i agree with you, but i'm real concerned we don't have that veteran QB, and the draft class doesn't impress me.
that will be priority #1 for the next GM to figure out.

i'm also concerned we may not see the playoffs for some time, as we impatiently wait for the next QB/coach/GM to build.

    unfortunately i agree..
what happened yesterday was about the worst case scenario, and we're on the verge of another multi-year reset.

I'd be willing to take a chance on Bradford as the veteran option, but we still need to draft a guy.
the major holes (and there are many) will have to be filled via FA in order to have some semblance of a team out there.

The Jets missed their chance to get Orton. Of the going forward possibilities I agree Bradford deserves a look. I don't know enough about his injury history to say he's chronically hurt. But given the limited options, he might be the best.

Bradford is a walking injury. What has he had 2 season ending inuries in the pros so far? Add to that a season ending injury when he was a Heisman frontrunner in college. He is definitely not the answer.

We should try to get that back up in Philly, Sanchez. He looked pretty good in preseason.

To the poster who commented we should not have let D. Stanton get away....isn't THAT about a big FUCK YOU to the Jets! LOL!!!! I love it!

Bradford would definitely be worth a look...as will McGloin... I've watched McGloin a bit and, personally, the Raiders should have done what the Jets should have done. Screw drafting a QB and spend all that draft time and money on weapons. Sanchez may have not been Tom Brady but if he had weapons he did alright... McGloin...the same. Of course that's debatable and total speculation.

Other than those two there really isn't anyone... One thing I think we can ALL agree on, though, is there isn't shit worth wasting above a 5th rounder as far as QB goes coming out of this year's draft. We, my people are F'ed and stuck with Smith, Vick & Simms for the foreseeable future.

(Edit) Also the same as Tampa should have done with Glennon...do you THINK, maybe, for a moment they wish they had back the MILLIONS they paid McCown for a few more weapons? These asshole GM's are everywhere in this league...sitting around outsmarting themselves. So, take my McGloin statement and apply it to Tampa as well...

We just need to get a guy with a strong offensive mind and let him figure out where to go at the position. That's really the only thing we can hope for right now IMO
