Not one promising draft pick, terrible talent evaluation, horrific free agency approach, and hitched his wagon to Geno fucking Smith. Fire this asshole. He was unqualified for the job from the go, and was a horrible match for Rex (who also needs to go) as neither has a clue about talent evaluation/development. Fire the guy and bring in a proven HC/GM combo who know how to build a roster. Every move outside of drafting Richardson, who was a luxury given we drafted two DTs in the first round the prior two years, has been a disaster.
everyone needs to get fired. from coaching/gm/scouting/training/etc.....everyone. we need to start over and get some competency in the building. just think about the wasted geno pick last year....if you didn't like him in the 1st rd....how in the world could you like him when he drops to round 2 and then make him our starter.....incompetency.....and us jets fans deserve better.
i don't understand it. we all KNEW this would be a 2-3 year rebuild. in what world do people judge draft picks after 5 games? anyone with a head would tell you it takes at least TWO SEASONS to judge a draft pick
I still like the Amaro pick too. Dozier in due time could be something. Idzik should get another year but my confidence in his "Plan" has gone down with him cutting 4th and 5th round picks after telling us that we are building through the draft and that the draft is a lifeline. That's just not true, at least by the moves you made.

One good move out of how many? Not enough to justify keeping him. Seattle didn't win a Super Bowl because of him. But he was hired because the team he worked for was good. That and no one else would hire him.

Rex Ryan took us to the AFC championship game his first 2 seasons as coach, with a rookie QB Sanchez, RB Shonn Greene and mediocre receivers. No coach in Jets history has done that before. Those who want Rex fired are just plain stupid, I'm sorry.....I agree with those who say Idzik is the one who should be fired. He hasn't give Rex anything to work with since he took over, and insisted on killing his #1 defense by letting Revis and Cromartie go and refusing to replace them, despite a ton of good FA options, instead sitting on a ton of cap money...
The 4th round is late? If you want to build through the draft and not sign premier free agents you don't let go of those picks that quickly. He's a walking contradiction and a joke. Everyone pretends he's got some master plan but this job and this stage are way too big for him.
Wrong. Saunders was the highest draft pick cut in 2014 of all nfl teams. And Evans was dropping balls in camp before we redshirted him so nobody could scoop him up. We hid Willie Campbell on the roster all year last year and where is that dude now? Idzik got good value for Ivory and Richardson was a great pick but his drafts have left us with the same holes we had going into them.
i said this before and i'll say it again. john schneider in his first draft cut a 4th round pick after a season. it happens, people miss on picks. you're never going to be 100%. also the fact that you are judging a players NFL career based of his rookie training camp is stupid, especially considering the fact he was probably overthinking since he missed minicamp and rookie minicamp
See that's your problem. You are asking fans to stomach some imaginary rebuild while you spend no money on free agency on a team that was 8-8 last year. Your "rebuild through the draft" then includes idiotic pick after idiotic pick. Geno is not a franchise QB. Wasted pick. Milliner is not even close to a top 10 overall pick. Waste. Richardson plays the same fucking position that the previous two number ones played, and as a result Coples is now completely out of position. Waste. Pryor is a hard hitting mediocre safety who can't cover or tackle. Waste. He cut half his picks. He trades away Revis so he can draft who exactly? That trade gained us nothing, and lost us the best player we've ever had at corner. He signs a backup QB in Vick who just admitted to you he was not interested in doing anything but sitting on the bench and collecting a check. Guy flat out said just now he didn't wanna start, he wanted to do nothing but be the backup. This is the guy you bring in to push Geno? You bring in an ancient Chris Johnson, and a solid but not special Eric Decker. And call it a day? And then the team is 1-4 to start the season and looks worse than ever, with Manning and Brady upcoming. Fire the guy. He botched this rebuild badly. Get him the fuck out and clean house.
No you're stupid for hanging on to something that happened 4 years ago when it's pretty obvious that he simply inherited the team Mangini built. There Are CONSTANT penalties and mishaps with this team. Is that Idzik's fault?(I want Idzik fired too btw). How about the complete lack of preparedness and lack of adjustments out there? I guess smart fans are the one that support an utter train wreck that is this team.
