    Geno Smith 19/28 201 yards 2 TD 0 INT
    Ryan Nassib 11/23 130 yards 2 TD 1 INT

Still outperformed Nassib that day, Nassib had a running attack that combined for 369 yards and 3 Tds on the ground which won Cuse the game.

Remember that line from white men can't jump, about losing and looking good rather than winning and lookng bad.... Yup. Nassib won by 20.

Because of the Cuse running game ran over the Mountaineers lousy D lol.

Nassib didn't have to do much that game if at all.

So you just looked at the box score stats, right? Geno was awful in that game--MUCH worse than Nassib despite what the box score said.

And as much as I appreciate what Nassib did for my alma mater, I don't think he's going to be a very good NFL QB.

But he also didn't stink it up like Geno. Not one but TWO safeties, 2 fumbles, one a sack fumble and one on a 4th down conversion try that he recovered but blew the play, couldn't complete a third down pass all day and and his two TD passes look good on the stat sheet but weren't.

Awful conditions and Nassib was not great by any stretch that day but Geno was brutal.

Don't look at stat sheets for that game--they don't tell the story.

I think I'll be okay lol.

I never said Geno had a good game but all I am saying is Cuse won that game because of the running attack. It wasn't like Nassib won the Orange the game. Both QBs struggled that game but Geno did do better statistically. The weather really played a role that game and the team that could run the ball was going to win the game.

I didn't count the 2004 season. He only played in 9 games and only started 7.

I was counting his first full two seasons. And it's redundant anyways. Eli was the first overall pick in the draft. My comments were geared towards second round or later QBs.

So you didn't watch the game, you just looked at the newspaper, right?

No he did not do "better" statistically. Higher completion percentage and yardage were irrelevant considering the safeties, the fumbles, the sacks, the complete failure on 3rd and 4th down. Btw, one of his TD passes was thrown behind the LOS that Bailey broke a tackle and the other, Bailey clearly pushed off the defender.

Another deflection. I'll ask it again, since you have dodged it twice, now:

What specific attribute(s) of Geno Smith prompted you to refer to him as a "thuggg?"

To those questioning his GPA, he had a real major. He didn't get pushed into an "athlete major" like general studies, he was an English Lit major. That's an extremely work-intensive major. Most athletes wouldn't come within a mile of one of those classes. He worked for his GPA.

Prior to the Geno interception. 4 of our offensive lineman on the freaking ground.

seems like an obvious sign the qb held the ball to long.

Eh, that maybe true - do you remember this play vividly? How long did he hold onto the ball? Geno does do this, but to have 4 offensive lineman on the ground is kind of ridiculous. Big Ben extends plays all of the time and you don't see 4 of his lineman on the ground

I don't remember that's why I said "it seems" rather than something more definitive. one of those down olinemen is on top of his defender btw ...

Looks to be Mangold. #94 (CJ Mosley) on the Lions has a clear path. Appears Suh beat Brick pretty bad also. I don't remember much about the interception so just trying to really see what happened on that play.

The linemen on the ground didn't affect the play Geno just made a bad decision.
