i'm saying it's extremely easy to pinpoint a CB as a liability as every time they give up a completion you know. if a 3-tech or 5-tech player misses a tackle, doesn't rush the passer well, etc, you probably never hear about it. also DB is just by far the hardest position to play as a rookie. DBs who were bad their rookie year patrick peterson prine amukamara dre kirkpatrick jimmie ward justin gilbert deone bucannon morris claibourne (except he never recovered) HaHa Clinton-Dix mark barron stephon gilmore jimmy smith the list goes on and on. but yeah lets just shit on dee because thats what jets fans do
You are using stunk very loosely IMO with a couple of those names. That said go pick your fight on the dude shitting on Dee.
Now I have my complaints about Idzik but what I hear on EPSN make a lot of sense Idzik will spend money on his coach when he gets HIS coach
In my mind, the jury is still out on Idzik. He needs to resolve the quarterback issue once and for all. Until we have the makings of an elite quarterback, this team isn't going anywhere. Every week, we face teams who get better QB play than us, and usually in the NFL, the team with the better quarterback wins.
I will continue to blame Idzik for not spending $$$$ when we are $20,000,000 under the cap until he tells me: Woody DIRECTLY told him not to spend money because PSL sales suck. A BS excuse which I interpret as being a favor to Woody for keeping the payroll down, implying INDIRECTLY (1) above. He really needs all the $$$ for next year to sign our own FA's and go after guys he really likes who are FA's in 2015. He didn't realize he was that far under the cap and by the time it came to spend $$$, there was nobody worth big $$$ to spend. Woody got burned by Sanchez, Holmes, and other contracts and didn't want to spend for non-PSL, non-Cap reasons.
if you are going to add Clinton-Dix to your list you should add Pryor as well.. oh-and it would be interesting to see if Milliner is actually good and not just another case of the rookie inexperience but you know he's not been on the field. (except of course to get torched by Jordy Nelson)
His drafts had franchise changing potential and they have been fucking failures. And everyone knows Sheldon was Rex's pick so I don't wanna hear it about that.
This is amazing. If you look at the receivers that went after the Jets picked, it is mind blowing on what we ended up with and what we could have had. Let's look at the receivers we passed on: Brandin Cooks - 23rec / 199yds / 1 TD Kelvin Benjamin - 21rec / 329yds / 3 TD Marquise Lee - 8rec / 73yds / 0 TD Jordan Matthews - 15rec / 141yds / 2 TD Jarvis Landry - 12rec / 111yds / 0 TD Now let's look at the guys we drafted: Jalen Saunders - cut from team Shaq Evans - put on IR before start of season Quincy Enunwa - practice squad / charged with assault Nice scouting done here.
Sickening isn't it, but Pryor is a total beast! Runs his mouth all over social media an his play has been mediocre at best
We all knew they needed to take a WR somewhere in the first two rounds. Probably the 1st round. sucks.
Not that I completely diasagree but yourw comparing 1st & 2nd round receivers to our mid 4th round selections. Of course you can make the argument that we should've used a higher pick on them but to throw guys that have 8 & 12 catches on that list like they're having great seasons is grasping. With that being said, it certainly would've been nice to grab someone higher and wide receiver is definitely a top need for the offseason.
Pretty much anybody that made a mock in the draft forum would have come out with a better draft if they were GM.
wait, don't you have freaking Calvin Pryor avatar? do you no longer like that pick? because that was our only chance of getting any of these guys, barring in mind that a trade up I was a fan of lee, it would've been nice to get him or one of the others but oh well, we got a safety and a tight end instead. who knows, maybe those of us that feel the need to make preemptive judgments about a draft class one month in would be sitting here wondering why we didn't get Amaro when we had the chance, or failed to address the safety position at all.
I'm not complaining on production. I'm complaining about the fact that those guys are all guys we passed on earlier in the draft to where we needed to reach for something in the late rounds. We had numerous chances to grab one of the ones listed and we didn't. This is about receivers not TE
