i'll be at the game. anyone else on here going? i'm trying to find some type of tailgating or whatever going on before the game..
Rivers is on fire his last 3 games vs SEA, BUF, and JAX. Jets will pressure him and hit him need to force turnovers and score TDs not FGs. Pretty simple concept at this point since the Jets are bad
If somehow the Jets can win this game it could revive their season from the dead. The 3 loses we have are against NFC so it doesn't hurt us AS bad as last yr when losing to those AFC wildcard teams. Jets will have to play a way they haven't played all season though.
I have my doubts that we'll win this game. I hope to be proven wrong. Anyway the game plan is the same as it's always been. Protect the football and no stupid boneheaded mistakes. Give Geno some easy throws and let him build up his confidence. Run the ball with Ivory, Powell and Johnson. The defense has to be rock solid especially the secondary. Hopefully we get off to a quick start. We are going to get crushed I hope they prove me wrong though.
I'd be shocked and happy if our defense gets some turnovers! I feel like its been a year since we had 2 clean turnovers (pick and forced fumble)! None of thus botched snap stuff
The Chargers weakness is their front 7, Donald Butler has been overrated for years, Jarrett Johnson and Luiget are the only healthy good players on the front 7. Jets should try to pound the ball on the ground with Ivory and Powell (that Chris Johnson signing was awful for you guys, your RB's were already decent and he isn't better than either of the 2)
well san diego is 2nd to last in rushing ypg.. so we can focus a little more on stopping Rivers pass attack and getting some nice blitz packages in since they'll probably abandon the run early on like most teams we faced have so far.
I'd rather strap myself to a rocket, launch into space, and run out of gas then go see the Jets in person. But have a good time.
Yea that's fucking wonderful... They are gonna pass for 400+ on us... When are we going to face a team that is 1st in rushing and 32nd in passing?
It will probably be a close game that could go either way. The difference will be a key turnover Geno Smith makes coupled with a couple big plays given up by the defense at very inopportune times with probably a bad penalty or two mixed in. oh wait- I guess I summarized the first quarter of the season. Jets beat themselves again - Chargers 31 Jets 23.
