Also a believer that Revis would've made more money overall if he had stayed in NY. As a long-term fixture in this city, I'm sure he'd be getting more endorsements as the years went on. 8+ years of great CB play here would've also guaranteed some type of media job for him post-retirement also (as long as he kept his nose clean off-the-field). For the game elites, overall income can be a lot more than just player salary.
ajax is right. revis made the mistake of listening to his uncle/agent , who pulled the same holdout crap when he was in the league. now, nobody hardly remembers him or even his name. some people never learn. as we saw earlier when peyton was in indy ( got hurt), or with brady and rogers and pennington ( jets after 2002), when you overpay too much for one position/player, you weaken the rest of the team talent and depth . you can not have too much money tied up under the salary cap in one player.
