It's just frustrating that they can't create turnovers, but being 10th overall 1/4 season through after facing Rodgers, Cutler, and Stafford (even with a banged up Megatron). Encouraging, even with Rivers, Peyton, and Brady coming up. Could be 3-1 if the offense didn't suck dick.

Not Really because that stat is only going to get worse. The raiders game boosted the stats a bit

Imo the fun thing is that the cowboys defense wich might be the worst in the league can ballhawk and rush the passer. I belive Rex Ryan defense is not creating turnovers because everyone has a complicated role , while weak defenses keep it stupid simple and benefith from atheletic ability of their players while investing talent on offense.

I think there are different ways to scheme a team into turnovers. Disguising blitzes instead of coverages doesnt seem to create turnovers but may be better than giving up tons of yards.

the defense was terrible yesterday. To quote Bart Scott "they couldn't stop a nosebleed".

Tate killed them and Stafford had an easy, relaxing day at the helm. If Calvin Johnson wasn't injured it would've gotten really ugly for this defense.

The defense is overrated. They benefitted big time from Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall being injured when they played against them and still got picked on. Those injuries were like gifts from above for this secondary and yet they still sucked.

This is the truth with the exception of the front four

It's the secondary, Stafford was sacked four times no easy day for him.

It was an easy day for Stafford all around. They weren't disrupting him all day or anything. They had 4 sacks? whoopdy do... he was content back there all day picking these guys apart. He had an easy day at the office.

Even with the big defensive letdown yesterday, this defense is good enough to win with and has been for years. Some games you have to score thirty pts and we never have an offense that can consistently put up 25-30 pts. Stafford sacked 4 times, Ivory about 100yds you shut down Megatron. If you did'nt see the game you would bet this was a big win.........but it's the Jets.

I still think your offense has to keep pace with the scoring and 5 consecutive 3 and outs keeps that defense on the field all game. this happens every year, defense plays good enough to win but tires out late because of total lack of production on offense. Every year.

they disrupted Stafford most of the game. There are things to get on the Jets abput but if you're going to critique the Jets do it fairly.

Any team with a consitently top 10 defense should be a playoff team every year, teams ranked less have won the SB, that speaks volumes to the total ineptitude of the offense.

Our rankings are an illusion. Our defense CONSISTENTLY comes up small when it matters and yields a lot of points. We are very very average on defense. We just look better because we have some negative yardage 3 and outs that keep the yardage numbers in tact. We are one of the worst defenses in the NFL in the 2 minute drill.

The defense has been overrated for years and has always been situationally unreliable. (Rex's Defenses have always had issues getting stops in big spots). But having said that, the biggest issue on this team in the Rex Ryan era has always been the utter ineptitude of the offense.
