It's a pipe dream. I know it's not happening. He's on the outs cause of issues with the GM more so then anything else though from what i've heard. That's happened with coaches before. You can't deny Harbaugh's track record.

Were even down 3 scores at any point in the game? We were down 2 scores at most I think and then cut it to one with 5-6 minutes left in the game. Most times QBs are pulled, it's a blowout or they are hurt, neither was the case here.
Even Smith Fans have to be concerned I would think that leaving him in there, watching him go from bad to worse, is not good for his development. Let him watch and learn from someone who can get it done. Otherwise we will see a replay of the Sanchez years. Having said that, this FO and CS seem committed to the mediocrity that is Smith. And Vick has had near zero time working with the first team. Of course I would have been playing Vick all along, but realistically we can see Vick inserted as they head into the bye week, to give him and the rest of the O time to get comfortable with him.
Im not a smith Fan but I would leave him in for the rest of the year, so we can check for any signs of improvement before drafting a new qb
I don't have a problem with Vick not warming up. If (when?) a QB change is made I hope it occurs on the monday following a game so Vick has the week to prepare as the starter. Not your typical Rex Ryan knee-jerk in game decision which he has traditionally followed up by going back to the incumbent the next week. That's how amateurs manage the QB position. Professionals recognize when a change should be made and direct it properly in practice.
I agree, but I also have a concern that Vick might need more than a week to get up to speed. Many talk about how he knows the architecture of Marty's offense, but that's only part of the situation. People like Johnson, Decker, Amaro and Giacomini are new to the team, and Vick would be, too. He's got no history with them or the ones who were here before. THe WCO depends alot on timing patterns. It might take more than a week of practice for Vick to get on the same page as everyone. Maybe they wait until the bye week. I know the season will be gone by then. There are no good options.
Bills, knowing that their offense is inept and costing them games, just announced Kyle Orton as their starter QB before the season gets away from them without trying something first ...
We don't have Orton...... We have Vick, and it won't be any better with him...... It would probably be worse.......
