Hey guess what? The Eagles started off 1-3 last year. He guess what? The Panthers started off 1-3 last year?
Hey guess what? I called it ten years ago. I said the Jets would be 1-3 heading into week 5 of 2014. I was the only one who called it
ok romo you can have this one but you're 1-3 in the playoffs and this is your 11th year of action in the NFL.
Apocalypse, indeed. Dogs and cats living together; human sacrifice; Cowboys shredding the Saints, et cetera. If not for the fact that the Jets lost today, I'd start wondering about whether I should try finding a copy of Tobin's Spirit Guide.
That doesnt matter, one super bowl run is all takes. Hes been very good over the years, yes he had bad moments but his team around hasnt played well either. If he somehow manages to win just one, people will remember him in a much different light. Hopefully he can get it done this year.
That shouldnt define his career, but unfortunately it will. He hasnt had good teams around him imo, when he did though in 2007, 2009 they did pretty well. The Cowboys do look on track though to return to playoff form this year, if not next. The oline is young and good, the defense is playing well and it should improve. Romos the only x factor as he is 34 but right now has played well and should have a couple good seasons left. The other thing to note, Luck has looked very good this season. I dont think the Colts can make a Super Bowl run this season but if he can step it up in the postseason (unlike the 7 int. in last years playoffs), they might be a real threat. Who knows though, they still have work to do within their division.
Yes it matters. It means he's accomplished almost nothing despite putting up good regular season numbers (Rivers has had a better career). He's never even made an NFC Championship Game (so he didn't have the chance to choke there). His teams have been very talented. Yes it should. Every athlete is judged by how they respond to big moments. The goal is to win titles. It's more excusable to me if you at least make multiple Super Bowls (even if you have bad luck and never win one). If you can't even make the conference championship despite a lot of regular season success... Referendum on Tony Homo, Jason Garrett, and Jerry Jones. Last time Romo made the playoffs was 2009 (!!!!!) and he failed to throw for even 200 yards. The team couldn't score a single TD and lost 34-3 to the Vikings (who promptly lost in the next round). Since that game, the Romo-led Cowboys are 33-35.
Nah, one super bowl run is all its going to take for Romo. Same as Philip Rivers. Look at guys like Brees and Rodgers, Rodgers hasnt done jack shit outside of his one Super Bowl run. He choked in Arizona fumbling the ball, he played bad against San Fran, and then the Giants beat em (which wasnt his fault entirely but that fumble that JPP forced shut the Packers down, that was on Rodgers). And no his team has not been good, you should go learn about offensive line play, because you clearly dont realize the difference of a good Oline vs a bad Oline which Romo had, had for many years.
soxxx, you're a troll. The Cowboys have had oodles of talent for years, including on the offensive line. How else do you think Homo has thrown for so many yards? Every year recently Dallas enters the season with high hopes, with the experts predicting a good season. Maybe you should learn something about football. Homo has been a starting QB longer than Rodgers. Rodgers has won six playoff games. Homo has won one. For you to compare them proves how little you know about football. Even Rivers has won four playoff games, two on the road.
I would absolutely love a Kansas City chiefs win tonight. It would make our loss yesterday much more bearable knowing we would only be 1 game out.
Yisman you dont have a clue about football, your tactic has always been the same, you never prove a point, you just claim the person is clueless but never actually back it up. If anyone is the troll its you, you are always act like you are right about everything despite being incapable of actually forming any sort of argument. Its so predictable, you just attack peoples credibility rather than argue the topic. But go ahead and proceed to talk shit, Mr. know it all, Mr. never has been wrong once in my entire life. And your dumbass brings up "well Rodgers has won 5 playoff games, Romo has only one", did I not say if Romo won the Super Bowl he would be viewed in a different light? Did I not say that Yisman? you smartass SOB? Doesnt winning the Super Bowl involve winning playoff games? or is that concept to hard for you to understand? You cant put two and two together. If Romo wins a Super Bowl than he will have ALOT more than just 1 playoff victory.......luckily I can figure that out, you clearly cant. Rodgers has practically choked every year outside of his one run. So if Romo has his one run, all these choke job losses willl be forgotten and you cant consider him a choker, otherwise you are a clown......
Hahaaaaaaa. That trolls group was created for a bunch of people that got shipped out, awesome that sooox got attached to it.
I'm rooting HARD for the Chiefs tonight. The Patriots dropping to 2-2 is one of the only ways I can see our season getting back on the rails. After tonight, the Pats have to play Cincy, which is a terrible matchup for them. If we can stumble into New England at 2-4 with them at 3-3 it'll set up a huge opportunity to tie (with the temporary tiebreaker) AND the soft part of our schedule. Let's go KC!!! edit: Just looked at the NE schedule. After us they get Bears, Broncos, Colts, Lions, Packers, Chargers, Dolphins, us. Losing this game and going home to the Bengals on a short week could ruin them.
