While I disagree with you wholeheartedly, 20 INTs is less than 21.

Nice response, but I'll bite. Please enlighten my mentally slow self. What does "If we hadn't drafted a QB in 2013, maybe we're sitting there to draft Bortles" mean?

And also, someone who doesn't hate a player wouldn't be consistently over the top sarcastic about said player, but again maybe that's just my mentally slow opinion.

Show me where I said that.

I was never a Bortles guy but after watching him through the draft process and in trying camp and preseason he's really grown on me and I now fully appreciate why he was drafted where he was.

I've always been a Teddy guy and all throughout last year a Carr guy. Manziel I think is the wildcard and could be great or could bust.

I wanted Mariota had he come out last year and I still want him this year but we'll be in no position to draft him.

My POINT was that had we not taken a QB in a very very weak 2013 class we would have been in a position to grab a good QB from a very STRONG class in 2014.

I have no idea whether we would have been drafting 1 or 5 or 25, but had Sanchez been our starter throughout 2013 (had we not drafted Geno) maybe in the 2014 draft we've got a damn good shot at one of the top guys. Or maybe in the early rounds we grab a Mettenberger or a Garappolo.

That has always been and is my logic.

You may not agree with it but that's fine. Just don't put words in my mouth then claim that I'm being illogical.

Just as you told me not to put words in your mouth, d0n't put words in mine. I never said you were being illogical. I said I don't understand your logic.

I didn't understand how you think we could be a bottom-3 team if we didn't draft Geno in 2013.

You don't think with Sanchez at QB throughout 2013 we couldn't possibly have been bottom 3? Really? After his awful 2012?

And again, I never wanted Bortles but he looks like he's going to be a very very good player in this league.

Had we not drafted Geno in 2013, I think we could have grabbed a great QB in 2014.

    But that's just my opinion.

I don't think Sanchez could've been much worse than Geno was in his middle weeks.

I mean that's possible, but had we not drafted Geno, Mark wouldn't have been hurt in the third quarter of a meaningless pre-season game. He would've had just as good a shot of getting injured in the regular season as Geno would've.

We don't know any of that. Even if we go 8-8 again with Sanchez, if we hadn't drafted a QB in 2013, we have a shot at Teddy, Carr, Manziel, and later Mettenberger.

Exactly, we don't know that, which is why it's pointless to say maybe we'd be picking Bortles. Sure, we might, or we might've won an extra game with a veteran QB, made the playoffs, and made a miracle push to the AFCCG, which led to us reaffirming trust in Sanchez.

In regards to all of the non-Bortles QBs, I totally get that point, even if I don't agree with it, because I really don't see that much in any of the non-Teddy QBs in the 2014 draft, and don't even think Teddy is a super upgrade over Geno, but for that we'll have to wait and see.

No it's not pointless because in my opinion (i) had Sanchez shined (doubtful) we would have already had our franchise QB and (ii) had Sanchez bombed we would have been better served had we waited and drafted a QB in 2014 rather than 2013. I think every QB drafted in every round of the 2014 draft was better than any QB drafted in the same round as the 2013 draft. I also think the top 5 QBs drafted in 2014 are better than any QB drafted in 2013. I also think some of the mid-round QBs drafted in 2014 are better than all but Geno. I think both Teddy and Carr would have been a big upgrade over Geno, Manziel was bust or boom and Bortles will match his hype. Garappolo is the interesting one to me. I could be 100% wrong but that's my opinion.

Look at Luck in his sophmore year and Hackenberg in his sophomore year.

    Simlilarties all over the place.

Except Luck is more athletic and had far few turnovers...but hey atleast CH can throw the ball 75mph, if that's the only similarity you were referring to

If I had to pick a QB from the upcoming crop, it would be Sean Mannion.

I want no part of Winston and I'm still not completely sold on Mariota. I think Hundley is overrated.

His game against USC makes me nervous. I think he plays far too inconsistent. His accuracy is very inconsistent and lacks good ball placement skills.

Connor Cook prob won't come out this year, but if he did I would draft him in the 2nd round. Good size, strong arm, can throw well on the run.

Bridgewater had himself a day but got hurt. Wasn't his fragility due to his size a concern coming out?
