He will if this keeps happening. If the Jets steal a game or two in the next few games (seems laughable at this point, I know) and start winning during the back end, you never know what Baby Huey Johnson will decide to do.
We need to replace a Walls/Allen at corner, Nelson as our #2, Colon/Winters, find some sort of return man for KR and PR also but let's fire Rex for not wanting to bench a 2nd year QB.
You have to keep geno in and let him continue to learn and grow as a qb. I understand everyone's calling for Vick and sick of geno turning it over but I think we need to give more time to grow to see if he is the future. I believe he is. We need a #2 receiver to complement decker and Kerley. Amaro I think needs to be feautered in this offense more. We seem to start getting him the ball late in games. He can be a force with his size and speed
So you think Rex would rather lose games with a second-year kid that's gone backwards and can't hack it as opposed to going with an actual NFL QB with his job on the line? Or you think Idzik would rather 'see what he has' with HIS draft pick Geno? Idzik's job isn't on the line this year, Rex's is. There was zero competition in camp, why do you think that was? At this point it almost doesn't matter anyway, barring a miracle we'll be 2-5 heading into Week 8 - at best. This was the week you had to make a change to try and salvage the season.
I think Rex is clueless about whether his 2nd year qb is progressing or helping and that he's loyal to a fault. combine those characteristics and you have Geno continuing to play it out ... all the while destroying the 2014 jets season. it's ok though because we're rebuilding.
Vick's window of opportunity is closing. Rex better wake up to the fact Geno is not ready, you can tell they put the clamps on him a bit the same way they did Sanchez!! Rex did not learn from his mistakes!
Rex was loyal to a fault with Sanchez but Sanchez was 'his guy' AND they literally had stooges backing him up anyway. It's a little different now.
