Jace Amaro and Greg Salas are starting to become a legit weapons on offense. Amaro had 5 receptions for 58 yards today. He had 3 receptions for 3 rec for 54 yards against Chi. 8 receptions for 112 in the last two games. Salas has had two big completions in the last two games. He had 2 receptions for 60 yards today (a 32 yarder and a 28 yarder) and had a big 51 yarder on Monday. So, take that wonderful positive to go along with the 1,000 negatives.
Both should be used much more more moving forward and in Salas case, might be forced to if Nelson's injury is severe but I don't know in regards to Marty. I've been impressed with both guys anyway, particularly Amaro because he's been reliable minus 1 bad drop Monday when used.
salas has been pretty good when given the opportunity. I think the cries of our skill guys sucking are severely overblown this season.
no doubt about it. hopefully those 2 can end a multi-year dry spell for drafting/developing legitimate NFL offensive threats.
Considering Salas and Amaro have been sitting on the bench all year in favor of Cumberland and Nelson, I don't think that's true. Marty is just a fucking idiot. Amaro and Salas were both clearly better but he didn't use them because Cumberland and Nelson have more experience. That's worked out very nicely obviously.
Amaro could be a fuckin stud in our O if given the chance. Him and decker should be our main targets. Shame MM doesn't see it this way
But some draft expert on TGG said that Amaro compares closely to Anthony Becht and will be out of the league in 2 years. Now I'm so conflicted.
It's all about the anticipation to throw his receivers open, Geno waits so long to throw the ball the defenses cover up the passing lanes. We haven't had a QB like that since Pennington.
Amaro needs to be a threat the whole game and Salas needs more snaps,he should be above Nelson on depth chart
Cumberland over Amaro can be justified by Amaro's inability to inline block at this point in his career but the Nelson over Salas thing is confusing.
