Its laughable, not to mention that Snacks our DT is a free agent next year who I rather have back anyway. We can't tie up all our money in the D line and Suh Wilk and Richardson would take a chunk of our capspace .This conversation is pointless
I have a clue. I posted an article with information from the most reliable insider in the league. Not saying I'd want Suh, but I'm posting the information because it pertains to this team.
Unless we are primarily running a 4-3, he's not a good fit. I know Rex likes to switch things up, but he's not a good fit in the 3-4 base defense.
Didn't mean to knock you for posting some Jets related info. However the Jets better not even think about doing something this dumb unless they think the DL scores points and covers WR's. Suh is so far from what this team needs right now.
Id much rather resign Wilk who will be cheaper and still a great DE. With the amount of talent we have on the D line the last thing we need to do is spend a boatload of cash on it in the offseason. Id much rather spend big on a WR despite how awesome it would be to have Suh.
The one thing I have an absolute certainty in believing is that Rex/Dunbar WILL coach somebody up, there's a reason TJ Barnes is on the roster. Besides, we have some big ugly holes that we somehow managed to not even put a bandaid on this offseason.
Right, because the one thing we lack is talent at DEFENSIVE LINE. we got the sons. Not only that, but we got the sons on contract through next year (snacks is an RFA) and are likely to do some spending on THEM real soon. why would we pay Suh? Thats not a good use of resources, its extraneous to the teams problems.
Richardson isn't going to get a major pay raise until the 2017 offseason most likely, so depending on the contract we theoretically paid Suh, there wouldn't necessarily be a ton of overlap in with the two of their contracts. Coples has been a good player but so far he isn't going to demand a huge contract to stick around. If we got Suh we'd probably use the 1st round RFA tender on Snacks and then put him on the trade block. As far as scheme, Suh would probably play NT on first and second down, as he is an excellent run stopper and can rush the passer from that position. They can actually move Wilkerson, Suh, and Richardson around to various positions on 3rd down, but Wilk can man the edge on a number of pass rush downs with Suh and Richardson inside. Just a possibility.
Dumbass, the OP is posting an article from ESPN and discussing, not arbitrarily discussing his own suggestion of Suh to the Jets. Try keeping up.
If you kept reading through all of the posts you would see that I acknowledged the OP for that. Try keeping up Dumbass.
this would be terrible, terrible, terrible signing - we have 99 problems but the defensive line isn't one of them
Max is clairvoyant. Those who are opposed to a Suh signing need not to worry. If history is an indicator, Idzik will likely lose Suh to the Giants after an underwhelming bid.
