It's fine by me for a few reasons Dolphins lost I never really saw "out if this world" talent so I'm assuming he will be just a small role player I don't root for bad things to happen to humans (at least non terrorists or Tom Brady)
Haha, I actually googled McKnoght when I saw it run across the bottom of the screen. I wanted to see if it was really old iron belly.
I watched the game. He looked great. Some guys take longer to figure it all out than others, he's just one of them. He always had talent and it showed yesterday - a lot of speed, but he struggled with the mental aspects of the game. Maybe he is finally just getting it. Good for him and especially good when he puts it together against the Fish. I like to dog the coaching staff for not developing offensive players but I will give them a pass with McKnight as he had issues as a professional in his time here. Although experimenting with him at CB probably didn't help him develop.
its hard to do worse.... i mean props to guys like thomas jones and LT who were able to do some decent damage here. its nearly impossible to be a productive back on a team with a QB like Mark Sanchez where the defense doesnt have to respect the pass and can constantly put 8 or 9 in the box and not have to worry about play action
As the saying goes, let's not put Joe McKnight in Canton yet... Once upon a time, the Cleveland Browns traded for Packer lineman A.D. Williams. The guy the Browns traded away to get Williams was a guy named Willie Davis. Within 2 years, Williams was out of the league. Davis is in the Hall of Fame. It happens (see: John Unitis). Not happening here. Jamaal Charles is dinged up, that's all. Knile Davis who filled in for Charles is a good back but one whose history has been injury filled.
Holy fucking shit!!! He's the best RB in the league! Never in the history of the NFL has a bad player had a good game. HOF here he comes!!!!
What this and Woodhead show is that the Jets have never really used smaller running backs well. KC gets him outside and in to space and doesn't always try to run him between tackles on bruiser runs. I don't expect McKnight to be a star, but when used correctly he can contribute nicely, just Like Woodhead did after he left. You can't use a small speed back the same way you use a 230 pound bruiser.
