Apparently, CJ0k isn't satisfied with the number of times he's been given the opportunity to sprint directly into a wall of humans and achieve no positive result for his team.

He isn't griping about it, saying that "game situations" are limiting his ability to carry the ball. He says he knows that Marty wants to incorporate more touches for him into the gameplan and "in time" he'll get his opportunity.

I really hope that's either bullshit or that Marty is looking to use him in different ways. Cramming him up the middle is useless and stupid.

Also, how can you possibly complain about your workload when you have 2 more carriers (35-33) than a guy who's averaging 2.2 MORE yards per attempt than you (5.7-3.5). If I'm Chris Johnson, I'm shutting my mouth and appreciating that I'm on the field on first downs, considering the team is blatantly better off when he's on the pine on first downs.

I really hope this doesn't turn into a problem down the road. It's one thing to have a superstar diva who's outspoken about his want for the ball. It's another to have someone who's not even performing well speak out about wanting the ball more.

IMO, Cimini is bored. Really don't even have to read the articl. Based on your comments alone I can see Dick went into this with an agenda to get a quote. Will pass thanks.

Agreed 100%. If CJ was averaging 4 or 5 a pop, then yeah i can understand but he is doing nothing with his opportunities. He literally cant break a tackle if his life depended on it. We need to stop running him straight up the middle.

Maybe if he didn't completely disappear on that attempted screen, he would have had more chances Monday night to get into space. He looked like a duckling being herded by dogs.

They need to find some ways to incorporate him into the offense. He can be a weapon for us. Running him up the gut isn't going to cut it.

Ego is a complicated thing in humans. Sometimes, it affects your vision and your POV. I'm sure CJ sees himself as capable of being CJ2K again. Father Time sez no. The results so far on the field sez no too. He's not who he thinks he is anymore. Belief in oneself can only go as far as your body can take you. CJ needs to sit down and have that reality check all older athletes must have to finish their careers on top instead of the side door. CJ? C'mon man. You're not who you think you are anymore. Just stay in your lane and contribute whenever you can.

I think Shonn Greene was a bad influence on him last season.

"Of course we want to run the ball more times and get into where we run the ball 35, 40 times a game, and give us both the opportunity to get a chance to run the ball hard,” Johnson said. “I know we both envisioned probably getting more carries, not just us both getting 10, 12 apiece. Probably more than that. A lot of times, you’ve got to go how the game goes, and we’ve been put in situations where we’ve had to throw the ball.”

thisis another cj quote from the same conversation.
before everyone gets carried away, cimini really quote mined for the title of the article. c.j. didn't say anything to sound selfish and is also wanting ivory to get more carries.

A running back will always want more carries. More carries isnt the issue. More touches are. But CJ had a huge opportunity to take a reception for a good 50 yards last week and he dropped it with nobody around him.

I want to see CJ on some wheel routes. With the right timing between he and Geno he could do some serious damage.

I have been as disappointed with CJ as anyone. He's looked bad when he's gotten carries, with that said I do think RB by committee is hard and not for most guys. I remember years ago, before rb started to become irrelevant curtis Martin explaining why he hated giving up carries. His comment was something to the effect that it takes him 10 to 12 carries to get going and get a feel for the game. I tend to agree with that, and don't like the split. Now I would prefer ivory to get CJ carries.

As far as the article I see some of you are upset like he's bitching, I didn't perceive it like that, I just think he was advocating for the run game in general. I don't think it was a selfish at all. The headline was created to give that impression.
