    @NYJets
    We have released CB Ellis Lankster and we have signed CB Brandon Smith.
    Looks like Smith is on the PS for now.

    @SethWalderNYDN 21m
    Jets correct announcement: CB Brandon Smith signed to practice squad, not active roster. #nyj

    We have to bring up a guy from our PS or release someone from it. Wouldn't be surprised to see Hakim the Dream's spot be in jeopardy. KOR is not as important with most kicks resulting in touchbacks and he's done more harm than good.

    I missed that, so our practice squad is back at 10 and active roster is now at 52

    At first i was all for the 12 draft picks, but it's already really starting to look like shit. At least tanny would have bundled them up to have multiple higher round picks. That's a 5th, and 6th stolen off our roster, and other guys (boyd) not even making the ps. We'll be lucky to come away with 3 staters ultimately in this supposedly loaded draft.

    Agreed, add in Evans/McDougles injuries and Saunders struggles.

    I mean stuff like that is more understandable, but it's not like they were going to light it up anyway. Well maybe dex would have, but they knew he had injury problems, and it was widely considered a reach. I still have hope for all the guys, but I'm definitely not as excited.

    There's nothing supposed about it; this draft was loaded. I bet there will even be a ton of undrafted FAs from this draft class that become quality players in this league.

    Hey guys not sure if this is the right thread for this but with Winters and the other guards not lookin so good would you dare bring Incognito in for a look-see? Are we desperate enough? Not sayin I would or not , just wonder what other opinions are.

    They've brought in a bunch of veteran guards but not Incognito yet. I don't think anyone we would bring in at this time would start anyway. I'd prefer bringing a guy in to replace Ijalana. Oboushi can back up both guards and Dozier is redshirting.

    I say give Oboushi a chance. If he has looked so great, then why not?

    Or was he just really that awful last year, that now this year playing average in pre-season made Rex rave about him?

    Our guards are quality run blockers, but struggle in pass protection, particularly Brian Winters. It's not as if they just universally suck. I wouldn't mind giving Aboushi a shot but of the think Winters is the better option, you do have to be concerned about effecting Winters' confidence by benching Him.
