He is not trash. Because I guy struggles in a defense, that doesn't make him trash. He's a project that Rex may be able to work with.
Do we really want to rely on more Rex projects? We need some proven commodities. Sick of these guys who are 50/50.
Agreed, but that's how a young defense is built. Guys that are projects that grow into quality starters. Guys like Snacks, Antonio Allen, Demario Davis, etc. These are guys who are projects that are slowly growing into solid starters.
Yeah well good luck negotiating with Crazy Jerry. You might be right and he'd be a baller for us. We'll never find out though.
He is very much trash. He struggles with their defense. Their defense isnt even that bad this year and he is still struggling. I dare you to bring up that lucky last pass vs the 3rd string rams QB throwing it up on 4th down to win the game.. He sucks badly and dallas regrets the hell out of that pick. ask a cowboys fan. watch a cowboys game.
Regretting that pick is one thing, but because he struggles in that defense, doesn't make him trash. Dallas regrets that pick because they gave up a first rounder and a second rounder to get him. One of those picks was Alshon Jeffrey. I'd be pissed too if we gave that up for him, but we're not talking about that. We are talking about a potential trade for something minor. Is it worth the project? Possibly. That would be up to Rex and Idzik.
Idk my boy is a big Cowboys fan so i watch their games and see Claiborne getting destroyed very often, either that or being penalized down field.
I'm not saying he's our answer. I'm just saying that maybe he would be worth bringing in for a cheap trade. If Dallas is so pissed off at what he has become, they'd likely give him up for something cheap. Time and time again, players join different schemes on different teams and thrive. Maybe this is the case for Claiborne. Maybe the scheme Dallas runs just isn't the right fit for him. And he would be an instant upgrade over Kyle Wilson lol!
So in other words, we want to trade for a corner that went AWOL after being traded up for and drafted #6 overall, right after we just released a corner who went AWOL after we signed him. I admit, my posts aren't great, but this one...
Could he honestly make us worse? You could tell me a blocking dummy was a free agent and I'd rather have that than Wilson
No, and that's the point I'm trying to make. For something cheap, I would take a look at him, bring him in, let Rex work his magic and see what comes out of it. It couldn't hurt at all
