I know this team has turned shooting themselves if the foot into the norm, but i truly believe if Decker is healthy the past 2 weeks we are 3-0 at this point.

This game proves that if Geno Smith is our future, we're fucked and no better than when Mark was here. This game proves that our defense has been and is very overrated. This game proves that we are barely mediocre. This game proves that this is going to be a long season.

Despite how they got to the outcomes of the games, the Jets are right where I thought they would be after 3 weeks.

These NFC games start meaning something soon when losing them puts you out of reach in the AFC.

I don't see how the Jets will beat Detroit and Denver -- so they have to figure out a way to win the SD, Buffalo, and NE games or else its curtains.

This is the honest truth. The Jets were the best team on the field last night, but the mistakes killed them. Three bad calls by the refs seemed to expound the issues, but even with those the Jets cost themselves the game. But as 1985er stated, they are mistakes that can be corrected plan and simple. Long season left - and I for one still think we can have a big turn around.

It's a common thing though in the Rex Ryan era. How many freakin times have we said the same thing "mistakes killed them" the day after a loss. So many freakin times. At some point you have to wonder if it makes sense to blame the players anymore. Why does the staff - particularly Rex get a pass for his team's mistakes?

As much as ppl are bitching about Geno, you have to laugh of that joke of a pocket he's trying to sit back in. The guy is on the run almost the entire game, shit protection. Also, I see guys not even set at the line of scrimmage on a 3rd and short, multiple times; once we even got called for it. MM is got to move plays faster.

Completely lost all hope on Millner, On the fence of calling him a bust. Also why is MM doing all these trick plays of
offence, Just snap the DAMN ball, Run the DAMN ball, Pass the DAMN ball. Case closed.

As much as I was crazy mad at Geno for that first INT once Decker got hurt reality set in... this kid has nothing but practice squad guys to throw at. ZERO red zone threats Kerley is great but he's 5'9 they moved the ball very well in btwn the thirties but hell this just won't cut it.

Another issue is our return game stinks totally stinks... can someone remind me when we had a punt return over 10 yards... and that scrub Hakim should quit and go run track at the Olympics

Zero red zone threats??? Cumberland is a good red zone TE. Amaro is a soft handed TE, born for the red zone. Nelson is 6'5 and was very good in the red zone in Buffalo. Ivory is your power RB great in the red zone. The problem was both Geno Smith and play calling in the red zone - not the excuse of his options.

Rex has a young team in place that does not know how to win yet. That's pretty common for young teams and we're still rebuilding.

They made too many self-inflicted mistakes that cost them games when he had a veteran team

As for the defense sure we're top 5 this top 5 that but man oh man it kills me that our hands are made of glass... since Geno was drafted he's thrown 30 interceptions have we even had 5.

Seems like all opposing quarterbacks get out of the first rush we never bring em down right away its like scratching and clawing for a sack.

PS enough with Vick he is useless midgame.

I think so far all 3 weeks we were the best team on the field. Young players make stupid mistakes, and we've been doing this a lot. That, combined with a shotty secondary that doesnt really create turnovers makes it super tough.

    - Geno makes a stupid throw
    - Saunders muffs a punt.
    - Phillip Adams (is he young) completely whiffs on a coverage.
    - Geno makes another stupid throw.

That combined with 2 brutal calls against us and its almost impossible to win. And yet, we were in it at the end and had a chance to tie.

Geno clearly only trusts Decker and Kerley. Once Decker went down, we were back to where we were last year. WR is still a need for this team. Salas and Nelson are average at best. If you dont have a top 5 QB, you better surround your QB with top 5 weapons. I still think the Jets are close to being a really good team, but they're definitely not there yet.

Nelson stinks guy was dropping balls left and right.... Cumbs is a below avg TE and Amaro is a rookie.

And young teams do the same thing. This isn't exclusive to Rex. Some teams have the offense to overcome mistakes. During the Rex era we haven't.

AGREE 100% And neither WR or CB was addressed. Millner ----> BUST

    +10000000000

We have been markedly mistake prone in the RR era. Huge turnovers, costly penalties, and ridiculously bad drops.
