Byz. I know you aren't trying to emberass me. Here are my reasons. Not sure if you will agree or not. His first two years was success. Not denying it. But he kind of inherited a good team from Mangini and took advantage of it. But the last 4 years are bad. I really have only 2 reasons for wanting him out. His defense is good I will give him that but I want a complete tea, not a Top 5 defense who can't make it to the playoffs for the last 4 years. 1) Undisciplined team year in, year out. Too may penalties and shooting ourselves. 2) Offense being terrible every year. Okay bad QB play is something I will give to him but this is his 6th year. He shouldn't get a free pass on the QB play anymore. He is the HC for God's sake.
I'm glad this thread was finally started, it just didn't seem like a Jets fan forum without the old FIRE X THREAD where X is less than perfect at any given time, no matter how short the time has been... I feel right at home now!
Bottom line we don't have 1 wide out who scares anyone. I'm not saying Geno shouldn't get the blame just get the man some help.
Tell me the last season Vick played behind an offensive line as good as this one. HINT: Never in Philadelphia. Oops. Regardless, I'd rather get 10 games of Vick and 6 games of Genover, than 16 games of Genover.
The fact that there is always a "fire Rex" thread in the making should tell you something about Rex. This will be his 4th consecitve non-playoff appearance.
BS, BS, BS!!! Chicago was playing 6 nobodies as their dime defensive backfield by the end of the game. In fact, they had to stop playing a dime when that safety got hurt on Salas' catch because they didn't have 6 healthy defensive backs on the roster anymore. Geno sucked. Period. He showed absolutely nothing and, frankly, didn't throw one hard accurate pass the entire night.
Even when the ball is caught it ends up being high, low, behind the receiver or to the opposing team.
Because we have garbage receivers to go along with our garbage qb that has defenders in his face when our garbage guards attempt to pass block.
Brook...your point about the offense at some point will either be his downfall or..well...be his downfall. I agree. Rex reminds me of the father who at parties talks about his straight A son who gets all the girls and is captain of the football..which is sweet...except that his other son is sitting right next to him and gets Bs and Cs and plays special teams...and is dating the chick with acne..and slight facial hair...but he is still a good kid. There was talk last week when the timeout was called and Rex said he did not know Marty wanted a timeout because he is not listening to their calls. That gave me a big huh? You dont even know what play is coming up? I dont know...I love Rex...really trying..but in year 6? there are still so many year 1 and 2 things that keep happening.
Who said they weren't? Here's an idea ... maybe he shouldn't have thrown at their one competent defensive back over and over and over (and over and over) ... and over ... and over ... again.
Our defense has been lights out awesome with no CBs and help from zebramen. Seriously have some bias if you think 1-2 is because of this defense.
Or num 3 depending on witch website you read I'm not sure what the fuck we are lol, espn has us ranked 1 but I'm not sure
and Im not in the mood to make a new thread but what the f with Geno? Why does he have some games where he has no desire to run? Tonite he had no desire to run....none. Watching Cap with the niners and Wilson...I mean..these guys survive with their legs to bail them out. Geno cant have it both ways because he is by no means an pocket passer that will tear you up.
You run it enough, teams get tape and create gap containment to force you to stick in the pocket and make throws. Kaep is experiencing this. You won't last long if you keep trying to force runs for the QB.
I know it was a tough loss, but you shouldn't start drinking over it. Eagles have two standouts (one of whom was out the entire year when Vick was injured) and three nobodies.
Here is the REAL problem. there is an ENORMOUS disconnect between the fans and the team. Idzik clearly views this team as year 2 of a rebuild, a few years from playoff contention. the fans have some delusional view that we are a win now team that should win 10 games. we are a 5-8 win team. not a 9-12 win team
