From last night: Positives- Malone, Hayes, Miller, Lombardi, Kreider, Glass, Fasth Negatives- Talbot, Hunwick
You watched the Rangers instead of the Jets? I only saw the first period and very little of the second period. I thought Miller was great. Liked what I saw from Lombardi, MSL, Hayes, Malone and Hagelin. Read that Kreider played better as the game went on. Boyle didn't look so good early on, but it looked like it was because he was playing with new players. Read that Staal played like the lazy Staal. Didn't really notice him early on. He's sure earning that new contract. Not worried about the goalies. They'll be better in the regular season. Thought Kostka was horrendous. He was the only one that stood out as really bad, and it might be generous to call what I saw really bad.
Kostka and Hunwick were horrible, I had 2 TV's on and watched the Jets disaster too....Talbot will be fine but last night he gave up 2 very long goals, Kreider played much better in the 3rd period and that line Hayes-Kreider- Kristo had a very good game...Boyle made some really nice plays, he came out of nowhere along the side boards and centered a beautiful cross ice pass, i forget to who, but he was wide open in front and he missed....Hayes played very well and Lombardi is fast
