The other team should get a chance to answer back.

I think the rule is right for the regular season. if you can't stop a team from scoring a td you don't deserve the ball.

Peyton had too much pride to lose this game. The Denver defense has NO pride. Another soft performance when they needed it most. How do you not put a spy on Wilson? Is this what the NFL has come to where the QB makes it look like he's playing Madden? Oy. Seattle obviously earned the win but they are showing their defense is human. It's the offense and Wilson's running ability that is ascending. Not fair and not football

They do have a chance to answer back. Hold them to a FG.

Because both teams should get a chance. I get that the defense should be able to stop, but ultimately a coin flip was the deciding factor here in a way, and that should never be.

no. the deciding factor was Denver's inability to stop the hawks from scoring a td

I know that, but I think they should have a chance to answer back, even if the other team scores another TD. I just don't like a coin flip being one of the factors of deciding an NFL game.

because any rule that Peyton and co. bitch about gets changed. It got changed the last time because Peyton lost to San Diego in the playoffs on a FG. It took a couple years, but that's where the whole complaint started, right out of the Colts locker room.

I'm to get off Peyton's jock when you already have Russell's member in your mouth? Please.

I agree with this, a tie game should not be determined by one drive. Football is a game of many drives and clock management. The OT strips the game of both factors, thus not "football" from a complete perspective.

If the defense can't stop the offense, they lose but if the defense does stop the offense, they don't win the game. A lot of it is coming down to the flip of a coin which is not fair.

The best solution, regular season: automatically tie game. Postseason, play 2 more quarters (if not 4 to be completely fair.)
