I take it you've never been offroading before. You can fishtail at way less than 40 mph. Plus the banks don't matter, as they were on the straighter part of the track when he was hit.

I'm guessing they're going to need a video with a better angle or a confession to convict him of anything. Just cannot draw any solid conclusions from that video.

    bump

Stewart racing this weekend, and 2 races until Chase time, feels appropriate.

Hendrick has done that before, too. The year Jimmie Johnson won his 5th, they gave him Jeff Gordon's pit crew right before the Chase started.

I should have bet it but I thought Harvick was a good play to win the Chase. He's been consistently near the front a lot lately. Have to feel for Aric Almirola who was a top 10 car on Sunday before his engine blew.

Harvick has a knack for always being near the front of the pack. If he wasn't such a smarmy shithead I would probably be a fan.

I do feel for the guy, but Larson, and Jamie Mac both deserved to make it more than he did anyway. The chase rules are stupid, 1 fluke win and you're in. It waters down the field. I mean the chase has always been bs, and not fair, but this system is miles worse, especially how no matter how good you do the first 35 races, your best shot is still a 1 race shootout with 3 other guys.
Just imagine that being Almirola, Biffle, Kurt, and Allmendinger lol.

Dude is a beast. I've been following him since his Sprint Cup rookie year and am amazed at how quickly he's found so much success.

I hated Brad at first, and it wasn't until the year after he won the championship that to me he started to really mature a lot. Now current day he is one of my more liked drivers.

I was a Jr fan because I grew up rooting for Dale Sr. because of my dad. I realized that I had to find my own driver and Jr just didn't have the drive to win and/or skill. I started noticing Brad and when he really won me over was Tallladega 2012. All the announcers were talking about was how you didn't want to be in first place. First place was a sitting duck and with Kyle Busch behind him, he was basically screwed.

And the post-race interview clinched it when he talked about how he had a plan all along and he executed it perfectly to dust that little bitch Kyle Busch.

Tony Stewart has been terrible this season. No top 3s, only two top 5s.

Finished 30th or worse seven times. Average finish is 20th.

And pretty much all of that was before the accident. It's pretty crazy how bad he was this year. Assuming he races next year, I'm sure he'll be back in the fold.

I like the rules, it rewards a guy who wins a race. It's not much different than a team like Delaware winning their conference tourney and making the NCAA Tournament. Jamie Mac and Larson who has run awesome the last two weeks had what 24 races to get in and they didn't win a race? Fluke or not (and Almirola winning a rain shortened Daytona was a fluke) but the guy should get rewarded and if his engine doesn't blow last week with 30 laps to go he's probably solidly in the top 12 going into Dover.

He still is in contention. Nobody is down by I think more than 12 points of the cutoff. Sunday should be exciting. I'll have to catch the end of the race after the game.
