Some people have an aesthetic that allows them to enjoy a palette of colors painting the landscape. Same thing with sunsets. I worked at a radar site in Maryland for a year, you had to drive through a mile of forest to get to the big open space that hosted the parabola. Once you got there it was dense forest on all sides. In the fall, it was one of the most amazing sights I had ever witnessed.
Lake Winnipesauke is my personal favorite vacation spot. Laconia area is beautiful, with a lot of things to do for pretty much any taste. Great fishing, beach, several arcades, bunch of restaurants, local tours... Google it, it's just too much to describe.
Hey when are you heading up to VT? Just got back from a golf outing in the Berkshires and the foliage is really starting to turn. I'd imagine further north in VT it's going to be peaking fairly soon. Should be beautiful. _

Cool. Should be a fun time, the drive up the NYS Thruway was nice. You're probably a week early but maybe when you get to VT it'll be in full bloom. It's just so hard to predict peak viewing times. _
