The team has no discipline at all. But it is what you get with a cheerleader coach who wants to befriend every player and tatoo their number to his body. We NEED a new coach who can instill DISCIPLINE!

How do you know the end zone was the 1st read on that play?

Winters got beat and Geno had to get rid of it before he was ready.

You have to preserve the FG opp there but trying to manage the game away with a full half remaining against Aaron Rodgers ain't gonna work either.

You have to continue to pick up 1st downs and move the ball, score points.

Bilal is the one who got stuffed on the 3rd and 5 draw.

They should have fed Ivory more, somebody who can wear down a defense and get yards after contact.

When you consider we have a HC who couldn't control his eating habits, his foot fetish or his mouth from boasting about how great the team is despite not having won anything, how can you expect him to instill any discipline or self-control in his players?

I heard Mike Singletary is available. He's such a great disciplinarian. Funny that nobody will ever hire him to HC again. I mean, all you need is discipline right.

That is nonsense. There have been players ejected from great teams with great head coaches. Wilkerson losing his cool did not happen because his coach is Rex Ryan.

I have seen Alan Page (one of classiest, level headed players of all-time) lose his cool and severely cost his team (vs Packers in 1972). Joe Greene hurt the Steelers with some of his antics a few times.

I don't know if you know this but Seattle with it's great secondary lost to the chargers.

I'll tell you why the jets get torched.

Rex knows DM just came back from injury, instead of keeping two safeties over the top, he has a rookie safety playing single safety, helping out a corner who is obviously not in game shape.

He is not a rookie head coach, these are just bad coaching decisions.

The jets did not loose this game because they don't have a good CB.

They lost this game and will continue to lose because Rex cannot and will not adjust his style of defense to make up for not having a great secondary.

Sudfeld's lack of knocking that ball down was a killer--WTF is with that guy? I want to see him on the waiver wire today.

There are lots of things that contributed to the loss, many of which have been mentioned here and in the numerous other threads. To me we lost our way. We got an 18pt lead and forgot who we were and who we were playing. A Ground 'n' Pound team don't throw the ball on first down in field goal range with 3 minutes on the clock in the first half, a QB-driven high-power offense does. They were always going to come back at us to some extent, but we didn't make it hard enough for them to do it. So yeah, it primarily comes down to the coaching.

This bothered me a lot. Instead of coming back to the ball, he watches it. We've seen his quickness before. No reason he doesn't make the play and save the drive for another day.

I couldn't agree more, I was saying the same things watching the game. the players still obviously deserve their share of the blame but the coaching was awful and it culminate din an ass't calling a TO. Just chaos on the sidelines.

I agree completely. I am the most pissed about the 12 man call. We have seen that called on Rex's defense way too much since his 1st season, they haven't stopped. That is unacceptable. So freaking frustrating. The thing is, it's frustrating and a coaching blunder to get that call in any situation. Yet it gets overlooked all the time with Rex. It was only a matter of time before they really got burned on one like that...

I am not too fried about the call on the Geno interception, but the fact they let them drive 97 yards for a TD, what the fuck.

and Marty... I thought he was outstanding last week and early in this game. And then it's like he threw everything out the window and called the second half like a jackass. I will give them the benefit of the doubt on that timeout, because that stuff happens in the heat of the moment, but you are right about the unnecessary 4th and 4 and the lack of creativity in the second half. It was like they got scared, top to bottom, players and coaches, when Green Bay started playing better and they pissed the game away. Even with a 21-3 lead you have to think GB and their all-world QB would respond. You can't come unglued like that. The players fell apart, but especially the coaching staff.

When will we ever get rid of the wildcat? Will Marty ever come to terms that Vick is the backup QB, and you screw the whole momentum of the game when you do this?

The play calling after the 1st quarter was terrible.

Giants signed cornerbacks and still got torched in the passing game. Your boyfriend DRC looks like trash.

We went up against one of the best QB- WR duos in the game and they beat us. That's going to happen sometimes.

I'm pretty sure basically all of us have been in this position whether in an organized league or playing in the street--you knock the fucking ball down or at least try to. I wasn't even concerned on the throw because I was sure someone was going to knock it down. BB had his reasons for releasing this guy and it probably had to do with something like this.

The crowd was loud and MM was twenty yards up the sideline. I don't doubt that Rex missed his shouts for a TO. That MM was twenty yards up the sideline is a bit of an issue. The crowd was loud. You need to be closer than that if you have the ability to call a TO and only Rex can make the request.

Agreed. Field awareness is a real thing. Think about that play where Decker didn't come back to the ball and one of the DBs (Trummond?) makes a good play -- it's a completion and the drive's alive if the correct move is made. Same thing with Sudfeld (sp).

Oh, well. Hindsight is always 20/20. Just gotta hope that they're learning from their mistakes, and that the Jets can beat a scrappier-than-expected Bears team.

Dude, we have had several coaches who were good at instilling discipline recently. You want Al Groh or Eric Mangini back again?

    It's not that simple.

Quick question: who led the NFL in penalties last year?

Follow up: who had the second most penalties in 2012?

If you haven't been watching Rex this year you don't understand the transition that's going on.

The finger in Richardson's chest after he got Wilkerson ejected was an eye opener.

I put the loss squarely on Marty. With a big lead, the ball, and running success going into the half, he called a foolish pass play (if it was a td, I would not be complaining), the wiser call was to run, milk the clock and take a nice healthy lead to halftime. The Vick calls were stupid and hurt rhythm. Not seeing Johnson struggling and continuing to get tackled before he could get to the edge was glaring. Not seeing Powell running with success and not giving him a few opportunities to the edge was glaring.

The TO was awful, and Marty should be expecting some words from Rex today.
