    Sorry, your analogy is incorrect.

Offsides are always called and the game is played on that assumption. "essentially doesn't enter into it

Discrepancies on the severity of holding calls have been the subject of controversy for years. It certainly can be called on every play. And at least this year, we know that even the slightest interpretations of holding will be called.

The issue of the 12th man getting off the field has always been highly subjective. Since its not a very common call (maybe once a game, once every two games), calling the highly questionable infraction on the interception wasn't curious. Are you certain that that's the only time a player didn't get off the field in time for the entire game? Are you saying that you've never seen seen any leeway when the player is off the fild like he was on that call?

That's great. You can live in the hypothetical world for as long as you'd like, but the facts are simple:

    - Only the Head Coach can call timeout from the sideline.
    - Rex Ryan did not signal for a timeout or call one.
    - The ref signaled a timeout after the ball was snapped.
    - There was no whistle blown to anyone's knowledge.
    - The pass was a game tieing touchdown.

Those are the facts. Not hypothetical shit

No, I honestly don't think that. I never implied that. What I will say is the Jets were denied an opportunity to win the game because of that call.

    Apples to oranges.

Blatant offsides and holding calls are a given. Of course they're called.

Calling a penalty because a player running off the field has half of his foot on the playing field with the rest of his body over the sideline, is retarded.

Holding calls and offsides directly impact the game. They directly hurt the play. What hurt the play in this case?

So your use of the word "essentially" was in error?

Was he on the field or not?

Not whether he had any effect on the play or not, was he or was he not on the field?

Did Rodgers see it? Did he quick snap? Did the ref see it?

    Penalty.

Doesn't matter man, we played poorly for a stretch of the game so that means the refs can do whatever the hell they want.

Watch the replay man, Rex was walking towards MM when he saw MM start running down the sideline.

This post is retarded on so many levels lol

Of course the entirety of the game plays into the result, but you are honestly going to sit here and say one play does not determine a game? Really? Lol

    Wrong. That's naive.

A holding play across the field, offsides on the opposite side of the line rarely effects the play.

You know what effects the play?

Having a smart QB who sees confusion on the defense, sees 3 guys sprinting towards the sideline and quick snaps to get a 12 men in the field penalty.

You guys are whining because it went against us.

Actually you're whining because that's what you do.

The totality of the game led us a to a tie until a ref decided to forget the rules.

    No and it never has.

Stop whining, we lost, we fucked up. Not the refs. Not the NFL.

Nah, I'm not whining about this call at all lol

I could give a shit about this call.

But holding and offsides no matter where on the field do affect the play. Holding occurs on a rusher or receiver. Both of which have a direct impact on a play.

It was a dumbass call but was by the rules. It just should have been ignored like it is four hundred times a week in the NFL

Yea we were only up because the packers played bad, the refs did the right thing to make sure the better team won

The pass to sudfeld on FIRST down with 2 minutes on the clock on the pack 27 was their dumbest play call in a decade. Any other coach or OC with a brain would run the clock down, kick the field goal and lead 24-9 at half AND get the 2nd half kickoff. That stupid call and pick changed the game COMPLETELY. Rex and MM deserve the blame not the refs!
