But did they piss the game away? It's not like Green Bay didn't show up to play. That's a pretty good football team probably top 8 in the NFL and they made plays as did the Jets just at different points in the game. It's not like the game kicked off and was 21-3 to start. The Jets had to make plays to get to 21-3 just like the Packers had to make plays to make it 24-21. Because they happened at different times of the game does not mean they "pissed" the game away. It just means a better team made plays at more crucial times.
Extra defenders running off the field never have any effect on the play. I guess what you're saying is that it shouldn't be a penalty ever, as long as they are trying to get off the field. And really smart QBs like Manning and Rodgers who do that routinely shouldn't get one of their benefits because you don't like the rule. _

It's a league wide problem. Another seriously bad call right now. Martellus Bennett made a nice catch for a big first down and they reversed the call that it was a catch. Just unbelievable.
But that shouldn't always be the case There will be times when the OC notices a necessary time out and tries to get it called. And how did Rex screw up here. Remember he didn't call the timeout
Are the players and coaches harping over that call? I haven't watched the post game but from twitter it didn't seem like they were harping over it. Since in my opinion they weren't, and you kept on using "you", your post seemed directed at me. Did the refs blow the call? 1000% Did the Jets lose because of that call? In your opinion yes. Not in mine. Games in my opinion never come down to one play. Even if it's the last play. It's the totality of the game to me that determines the outcome. _
It's league wide. If you watched the other games this week there were epically bad calls in several of them. But this timeout was the worst call I've ever seen.
We are wining about it because there were two bogus calls that completley fucked the game .We might have won and not been having this discussion right now if it wasn't for this bs.The negated Harris INT was worse then the timeout call
This isn't about deserving to get screwed because we blew a lead. This about losing because we blew a lead and not blaming one play, one massively bad call, for losing the game. That's the difference. _
