This is an incredibly embarrassing thread. 21-3 and a ref stole the game from us? That one play? Geezuz. _
This is exactly what will happen. Then it will be business as usual. If this were a Marquee franchise, this sort of shit wouldn't have happened in the first place.
Did u not see the replay?you can see Marty running around like a dick face waving his arms calling timeout, while Rex is standing there motionless.
Or not. Stop acting like pussies. The Jets were outplayed and outcoached for more than half of that game and that's why they lost. They basically had the game in hand.
I agree. It just drives me nuts when the refs fail to uphold the rules, in and of themselves. I rarely complain about blown calls. But when an explicitly codified rule isn't being applied, it's inexcusable. Our team fell apart after the early lead, but the phantom TO was egregious and entirely unforgivable.
We fucked ourselves and the game shouldn't have had to come down to that play in the first place. The offense failed to execute, and so did the defense. That is the biggest reason why we lost. Now that's out of the way. You can't brush off the refs blatantly ignoring a rule. And I bet had that play not been a TD they would've ignored the timeout.
Fuck this league. The jets covered the 7.5 because in Vegas 22M were bet on GB and 3M were bet on the jets. #facts.#fix #fuckyougodell. There was no chance GB would cover and there was no chance the Jets would win.
You need to understand that this game is a play by play basis. The Jets should've out this game away and taken it out of the refs hands. That's obvious. The thing is, that one play cost us the game and the refs got it wrong. That is an absolute valid argument for any fan to make regardless of what transpired prior to that play because it is a play by play game. It comes down to who makes the last play to win the game, regardless of the past performance throughout the game. We got screwed, it doesn't matter how you try to spin it. That is a fact.
It's irrelevant because it didn't happen. It has no bearing on the discussion at hand. It has no relevance as to why a rule wasn't appropriately applied at a crucial juncture of the game. It does nothing to take away from the fact that the phantom TO was inexcusable.
That thread is an embarrassment and the OP sounds like a shrill schoolgirl shrieking that her iPhone got taken away. We fucked up ourselves, one play should never have mattered in that game. _
You're right. But the fact that they blew the call is cause to be upset. Who knows how the game turns out had that play not get blown.
It still doesn't change the fact that the refs got it wrong,We shouldn't have blown an 18 point lead but this secondary isn't capable of stoping a guy like Aaron Rodgers when he has all day to throw. He really did have all day to throw, there oline owned our d line after the 1st qtr
I can't see anything really coming of it with with respect to the officials. If anything, the NFL's "fix" will probably be a rule that says if anyone other than the head coach tries to call a timeout from the sideline it will be a Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty and a loss of the timeout. Personally, I think timeouts should only be made by players on the field, as it was until 2004. That would put an end to a lot of this nonsense, including head coaches calling time out to "freeze out" kickers.
