Marty didnt call it, a player standing right next to Rex probably on Rex's orders yelled timeout in the officials ear
Dumbass fucking refs...I swear how the fuck can they allows they shit to stand after a pivotal touchdown. The error was on the dumbass refs. So fucking stupid
What I don't get is this. Its one thing if the ref makes a mistake by not spotting the ball quick enough or granting an iffy timeout, but granting that timeout was not allowed in the rules. How the fuck can that play be stopped? Its against the fucking rules.
This is utter bullshit. Only the Head Coach can call a timeout, these home town refs screwed the Jets, complete amateur hour nonsense.
Marty didnt call it, a player standing right next to Rex probably on Rex's orders yelled timeout in the officials ear
Very bizarre...Rex was RIGHT BEHIND the official and yet the official takes the timeout from the O-coordinator? And doesn't even blow his whistle? They should have just let the play on the field stand. They consciously accepted an illegal timeout from a coordinator.
Rex is yapping in his ear all day long, you don't think he can't tell Rex's voice from a players voice?
So Rex told a player to call a TO while standing behind the ref, then walked away from the ref and had the player call it? What really happened was that Marty M was trying to call a TO/signal to Rex to call one but Rex didn't. Sheldon however saw Marty signaling so he stepped up and called TO behind the ref. Since Rex was standing behind the ref, the ref thought it was Rex and granted it
The ref assumed it was Rex calling for the timeout because he knew he was standing right behind him. Richardson, who was standing right next to Rex leaned over and called the timeout when he saw MM running up the sideline yelling for one. The ref had to assume it was Rex calling the timeout.
Let's all be honest about one thing...even if we get the TD is there anyone on this board that thinks we were ever going to stop the Packers on the final drive? We hadn't stopped them for three quarters.
Fair is fair guy. They have 60 minutes in the game for a reason. Games aren't perfect. But they got screwed.
There's no "Oh fuckin please" No shit the Jets shot themselves in the foot. I said in the OP to disregard all that. This is about rules. Rules that the NFL stands by. I don't give a fuck about "crying". A rule is a rule and it was not called properly. Whether we sucked the entire second half, that should have been a game tieing touchdown.
