Because I have a kid around the same age and was a kid myself once. You should be able to make contact with a kid without leaving marks. I was hit on the rump and learned lessons. I never had welts and lacerations. Are you insinuating that the kid is some sort of man child who needs tree branch action to learn a lesson? A couple hard slaps on the butt is not enough for him?
That's what I said. I ruined all my mother's flowers once when I was little - man I should have seen that one coming. Fuck outta here dude - it's discpline - you can't let kids get away with anything they want - when will they learn morals and values? Some kids you just can't talk to them, sometimes it requires action but not ridiculous action. Anyway it's not your fucking kid so do as you please with yours.
I guess it all depends on how you were raised. I was spanked too with a whip, and I'm not a violent person. In fact, I've never even been in a single fight in my whole life. And I just turned 26 yesterday.
We also used to give children soothing syrups that were packed full of narcotics. So is it ok for me to give my kid morphine to chill him out when he's acting bad? Comon', we did it in the old days
Why? Because i said that the way you were raised doesn't mean anything? Its true. Its a whole new world now
Is it your kid? Do you know the scenario? You act like the kid's freaking beaten to death stop posting.
This is a touchy case. As it comes down to philosophical beliefs in child raising. I do believe that some times children need some physical discipline. This was certainly excessive. It goes beyond what I ever received or would think about doing. 20+ years ago, this is a non-story though. Was the child's life ever in danger? Not even close. Are there permanent physical injuries? Not even close. There was no malicious intent. There was no negligence. It's a gray area. Doesn't warrant jail time? No. Fine him. Put him on probation. He'll realize what he's done is slightly excessive, and hopefully he tones it down slightly next time.
Because you just joined a few days ago, and have posted nothing but non jets related personal opinions that nobody cares about.
You stop posting. The pictures are bad enough. Its not my kid but if we can't discuss it, why the hell is there a thread on it?
And this type of disciplinary beating is considered abuse by many if not most people in today's society. Sorry for the people here that were abused in similar ways but that doesn't make it ok for it to keep happening.
I've had Jets conversation and conversations on things like this. I'm not bothering nobody. Sucks if you don't like it
