sounds like we will know a lot tomorrow. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/20...ined_by_thursdays_practice_says_rex_ryan.html
If he plays I am praying that he plays good. Watching get burned will really suck. Then we have to wonder all season is the injury nagging him still or is he just not that great.
Just watched a little interview with him. I'm not speaking as to whether he will play this week but he just radiates confidence, something he did not show in interviews last year. I'm glad to see it, considering how important it is for his position.
If he's cleared by doctors to play, then he should play. The Jets are going to need him. We're playing the packers, not the raiders this week. I know everybody loves to be cautious, but I don't see the benefit to "getting him ready for Cutler". If he can make the cuts and isn't in pain he should play. I could understand him playing in a limited role but we need him if he's ready. If not, then so be it.
He is gonna play ,his interview was quite convincing he said he didn't felt a thing and that he is ready.
Are you saying Walls plays safety? Or just that AA starts at CB? I see no scenario where AA is on the bench, barring injury of course. He has proven to be the most versatile secondary player on the team. He may line up outside, inside, at CB or S, but definitely somewhere on the field. My preference? Give Antonio a shot on the outside against a real QB. AA and Millner (if healthy) on the outside. D Walls in the slot. Wilson as the dime. Pryor and Landry at Safety.
Walls to thw bench. Sorry i wasn't more clear. They turned to AA before walls when the injuries happened. I have not seen anything to think their opinions of the 2 have changed.
The question is not whether Allen starts. Of course Allen starts. The question is: S Pryor/Allen CB Milliner/Walls or S Pryor/Landry CB Milliner/Allen. edit: IF Milliner starts, I mean.
That's what I thought you meant. I like Walls but I really want to see what AA can do against Rodgers and Nelson. He seemed OK against AJ Green in the pre-season (not great but not a complete disaster either) and now he's had about a month more of practice at the position. AA really is an interesting case. Dude was basically a LB at South Carolina and now is playing CB in the NFL. Many of us on here loved the pick when it happened - big talent, no position. He was a 4 Start recruit out of football factory Ocala. I'm really interested to see what happens over the next few weeks.
If Dee shows that he can play I see no reason to switch AA again yea when we're depleted we could use him as a stop gap. They turned to AA cause they couldn't depend on Walls as a number 1 but as a 2 again if Dee plays well I think they go... Dee Walls at CB and CP AA at safety
If Wilson has a hard time tackling Cobb in the slot we might see Walls play outside a bunch and Allen play slot CB a bit when Milliner is in.
millner/allen. Depending on match ups., i could see harris getting benched so walls starts on the outside and AA would move inside to cover the t.e. i.e. vs new england
