Then don't open them lol It was a simple thread to gauge the interest amongst the forum based on twitter reactions right now. If you don't like them, they get out. No one is forcing you to open them.
I frequent the forums here, I update to page to see what's new, You're forcing me to read the thread title, which contains all the substance of the OP, by posting this crap
I wouldn't call Jacoby Jones a scrub it would be a pretty fair trade .Powell is buried on the depth chart right now anyway and isn't gonna get many reps.Jones is also a stud punt returner so he can be used in a lot of ways
They have there own rbs on there practice squad,Let's stop acting like Richardsons the next Emmit Smith
i didn't see anyone claim he was. but the premise of the o.p. was they are looking outside of their franchise for a solution.now the o.p. is equating powell to richardson and jones, i was stating they could do the same and give up nothing. sorry you didn't see that simple scenario.
The NFL is not fantasy football. Trades rarely happen, just let it go with these ridiculous hypotheticals
Trying to avoid any appearance of bullying here. I strongly disagree with anyone who believes it prudent to trade a promising young RB for a kick returner who is on the decline. May I suggest that the OP engage is some reflection and thought before seeking such speculative and hypothetical advice from this community in the future? The absence of such inane threads from the front page would be greatly appreciated.
Great point! In addition, why weaken our RB depth? Powell is excellent insurance and a very good back. With Ivory's playing style and Johnson's age, injuries are likely, not just possible. Besides, Jones doesn't offer much. I wouldn't even trade Powell for a draft pick. Richardson's a nice back, but I don't think he's anywhere near as solid or versatile as Powell.
Trades actually do happen so ease up...didn't the Browns trade Trent Richardson (a recent high first round draft pick) in the middle of last season? And didn't the Pats just trade a lineman like a week ago? And a few years back there was the 'Skins/Bolts swap of a RB for a DB. And then the mother of all trades......a RB for an entire draft class.
We won't get Bryant, Idzik wants to draft his own Bryant. Also no way Crabtree, Cobb or Thomas will leave their current team for ours
Would be a horrible idea. Can't trade a solid back to a team we'll be competing with for the playoffs especially when we wouldn't get much in return.
Nah, he is a one hit wonder type of guy. He made his name in a span of a playoff run, he probably will never get forgotten though....kinda like Tyree.
I thought of Powell to the Ravens also when I heard of Rice's termination. However I thought Powell for 2-3 round pick 2015 pick. Your plan would provide more immediate help.
