@ Greenbay (since it's in Lambeau Field it should be tough, but this team doesn't strike fear in me) vs Bears (we should be able to handle them) vs Lions (Megatron WILL be a problem, ok, this is an L) @ Chargers (we should be able to handle them) vs Broncos (L) @ Patriots (I'm confident we will sweep the Patriots) And the rest of the schedule gets easier. Jets should be able to make the playoffs. Anyone share my opinion?
"Let's not start sucking...." Ah...nevermind. Let's get a coupla games of strong play before coasting. A few "good losses" early will anneal this team for the backside of the schedule. This is a tough team...but they are still the NY Jets.
No. It's a crazy tough schedule. We might sweep Miami but we will lose to Buffalo in Buffalo. I'll be happy is we split the Pats.
So what you're saying is that if any team doesn't win week 1 then they are an automatic win for us. K thanks for the analysis. -->
@ Greenbay (since it's in Lambeau Field it should be tough, but this team doesn't strike fear in me) - their run defense opens up a big opportunity for the Jets vs Bears (we should be able to handle them) - Offense is strong, but Cutler can be forced into mistakes. Stop the run and don't turn the ball over. vs Lions (Megatron WILL be a problem, ok, this is an L) - Not in Detroit so that is a plus...Will Stafford make mistakes that cost the team? Nasty game. @ Chargers (we should be able to handle them) - They looked lousy last night. vs Broncos (L) - Not in Denver...that is the only positive I can find. @ Patriots (I'm confident we will sweep the Patriots) - It's the Pats...never an easy game. 3-3 puts them at 4-3 which is huge going into the 2nd half. If the 2 of the 3 are against AFC teams it is even bigger since those are 3 potential playoff teams.
"]@ Greenbay (since it's in Lambeau Field it should be tough, but this team doesn't strike fear in me) This is a tough match-up. If the Jets get the running game going and hit Rodgers early a couple of times they could surprise.....the question is are the Packers really as bad as they looked Thursday after all they were playing the defending SB champs in their house. They have some key OL injuries too which should work in the Jets favor. vs Bears (we should be able to handle them) We COULD handle the Bears but it's not a given kind of like the Green Bay game. It is MNF on our home stage so I would give the Jets a slight edge as of now. Again the secondary will be tested.... vs Lions (Megatron WILL be a problem, ok, this is an L) Not ready to chalk this up as a loss yet but it's a scary match-up. Detroit is a slightly different team on the road but this has the potential to get ugly. They can strike quick and fast....this can also be very similar to last years Saints game. A game we would have no chance of winning in the dome but lucky to get them at home type deal... @ Chargers (we should be able to handle them) I agree here. The Jets have matched up well against the Rivers SD teams in recent years (except for the McElroy start). I would be more surprised if they lost this game than the Lions game. vs Broncos (L) Tough tough match-up here. You are probably right.........Denver's OL is strong and has the ability to neutralize the DL but we'll see... @ Patriots (I'm confident we will sweep the Patriots) Easier said then done. Every time the Patriots stumble people are ready to write them off but I'd have to see a 2 or 3 more games before I write them off. Their OL did look bad though. Maybe that trade wasn't the smartest idea..... And the rest of the schedule gets easier. Jets should be able to make the playoffs. You would think. But the Jets always blow games they SHOULD win. And remember this is still a work in process... Anyone share my opinion?[/quote]
Not even a little bit,if we can beat the Packers I may start to agree but it remains to be seen just yet. This secondary hasn't been tested yet not even a little bit
1 game at time bro', 1 game at a time. Rodgers is a beast; he has a quick-strike rifle for an arm, ability to recognize numerous def set-ups & the ability to take advantadge of the slightest of spacing bet his rec'vrs & the 2nd'ary. EXTREME upfront pressure must be maximized to it's fullest along w. the O keeping him off the field using long, sustained drives against a suspect Packer D'.
Man if we go 4-3 going to week 8 then the sky is the limit for us the rest of the way. shit i'd be happy with 3-4, Maybe even 2-5 with the rest of our schedule not anywhere near as difficult as the first half.
I'll say it again. Right around week seven we'll know how tough we are. We sneak out of Foxboro with a win and we're pretty. Fuck the narrative.
