I think this game is a tall order. Even against the top teams, how many home games are the Pack gonna lose? Maybe 2? Other than Jets fans, who really thinks we can win this game?

The crowd will be rowdy as hell. We need to not only cut down on stupid penalties, but basically eliminate them. Rodgers at home will make us pay for that shit.

Jets need to get pressure on AR and control the TOP on offense. I had the Jets beating the Raiders and losing this game. Hopefully the Jets run the ball down their throats, keep Rodgers off the field and sneak out with a win. I think it's a lot to ask.

    Packers 31 Jets 17 (Hopefully I'm wrong)

It's definitely going to be a close game or them blowing us out, because they are definitely good. The good news is that their offensive line isn't very good and they won't be able to run on us at all. That will hopefully lead to a lot of 2nd and 3rd and 10's where we can get some blitzes and complicated rushes going. They also are not good vs the run, so we should be able to run it down their throats and score a few points. If Geno limits the mistakes this really is a winnable game.

I don't know what Milliner's return schedule looks like, but I feel pretty comfortable if he is back for this game. Allen played well today and I think matching him up against Cobb is similar to matching him up against Denarius Moore. Cobb is much better but they play with a similar style. Milliner would match up against Jordy Nelson and that would probably be pretty entertaining to watch. I don't expect us to be as dominant against them defensively as we were against Oakland, but I saw a lot of things I like.

Did we have the best defensive performance in the league today?

Jordy Nelson will likely do very good

If we can stop the run, limit other guys(Cobb and Boykin) and protect the football offensively and control TOP we can win this game

Let the two-dreaded beast run wild again and let the D-line crowd the LOS, and hopefully MoWilk can swat down a couple of passes again early to get Rodgers flustered.

Jets have a lot to clean up. If they can't clean up their stupid mess, the game is lost.

I think the matchups are there for the Jets to get a win next week...their offensive line still hasn't been solved and they had issues with injuries down there. Obviously the one Seahawk felt those PAckers are a bit soft on defense, so I definitely want to see Ivory knock someone off and CJ get some big gains there...

On defense Lacy is a back that the Jets generally contain easily...slow footed power back...I'm more afraid of Starks honestly. Of course Millner coming back would be huge because they have Nelson/Cobb and some other nice WR's on that team. The front 7 can absolutely push that pocket back on Rodgers and force him into mistakes...

You just have to worry about the home field for GB which winning on the road is so difficult to do. But it should be a good matchup

Any chance we can trade Powell to Colts for a CB? Colts look pretty thin at the RB position. Maybe we can trade Powell to another team? With 1 carry yesterday, I'm not sure we will utilize him much.

Until one of our RBs gets hurt and we don't have to change our whole offense since Powell can just step in.

I'm not worried about this Packer game at all.

    - Oakland last year averaged 125 rush yards per game and added MJD. We held them to 25 yards. With Lacy most likely out, the Packers are going to struggle to run for 60 yards next week.

    - Oakland last year gave up 44 sacks, and didn't do much to really bolster their O-Line at all, and we had pressure on Carr nearly every single play. Green Bay gave up 45 sacks last year and is now down 2 starters on the line. Rodgers is going to be under pressure massive pressure all day.

    - The Packers receiving core is now Nelson and........ Rodgers threw the ball 33 times last week and targeted Nelson 14 times (42%). If he targets him that much next week Rex is going to come up with something to get us an interception or 2. His only other decent receiver is Cobb who averages about 60 - 70 yards per game playing against horrible secondaries in the NFC North. We are not going to need the worlds greatest secondary to cover these guys, especially with our D-Line.

    - The Packers defense is AWFUL. Oakland last year gave up 364 yards per game (259 Passing / 108 Rushing) and added a stud LB in Mack. The Packers last year gave up 372 yards per game (273 passing / 125 rushing) and added an old Julius Peppers that is really coming to the end. We just put up 402 yards this week.

Honestly the only way the Packers win this thing is if the Jets go out and commit another 100 yards in penalties and once again lose the turnover battle by 2. I put that wording on it because our defense for as good as it was once again failed to get a turnover. If our D could somehow start coming up with some turnovers this team is going to be incredibly tough for anyone to beat.

1st of all, Lacy is playing.
2nd, You're way too confident SH. You make good points, but you can not base stats, and opinions based on 1 offseason move per team, when both teams are very different. You aren't taking into account the overall number of players that will see snaps, and where they are in their careers. The Pack D is very young, and like ours, could mesh together well any given week.

    - Even if Lacy plays, he's not fare much better then MJD and McFadden did. Nobody runs on this team and with the decimated and already weak Packer offensive Line, Lacy will be lucky to get 50 yards next Sunday.

    - And just LMAO. Yes the Packer defense is going to all of a sudden come out and decide they are going to play as good as the Jets. Come on now. They suck. They have sucked for years now and their best player on defense (Raji) is injured.

Honestly the only thing that worries me about this game at all is that it is on the road. That's it. You win football games in the trenches and our O-Line matches up about even with their D-Line and our D-Line blows their O-Line out of the water. Unless the Jets make another 100 yards of penalties and 2 or 3 more turnovers, without getting a turnover, they are going to kill this team. The Pack match up horribly with the Jets.

the big lesson about football is that if you dominate both lines of scrimage you got a chance on every game.

I'll be traveling from the east coast to see the game at Lambeau. Pretty pumped up.

They could not stop Marshawn Lynch at all this week, and Ivory is probably the closest back in the league to Lynch in style. Their secondary is better but they aren't the best tacklers, so I expect a lot of yards on the ground. If they go all out to stop the run, we make them pay for it with play action. Rogers is very good but if we are stuffing their run to the point where they are averaging 1-2 yards per attempt, it allows us to dedicate more resources to defending the pass. With their O-line looking less than stellar, we should be able to consistently get into the backfield. I expect a lot of pre-snap defensive movement in an attempt to force Rogers to play more confused and less aggressively, similar to how we played the Saints last year. The Packers receivers are good but they aren't all world. The real offensive playmaker is Rogers, so we will be dedicating most of the gameplan to stopping him and keeping him off the field.

Yea totally was. Probably also the reason why Weatherford hates Westhoff considering im sure he ripped him a new one there.

I view playcalling and penalties as the biggest variable going into Green Bay. We have to be at our best on both accounts... We will win in the trenches
