What does Holmes need to get revenge for? The Jets are the ones who need to get revenge. He stole money.

I guess my expectations were calibrated so low for our CBs that Allen's performance today was at first a relief and then such such a joy to watch if not a revelation. His ability to tackle players one on one in the open field is a special talent. I can't wait to see more from him.

He also did a good job covering Gronkowski last year. Mind you, it wasn't a great job, but nobody can truly shut down that bastard.

We're very lucky to have him. Not only was he drafted in the 7th round, but he was a compensatory pick ====== at the end of the 7th round!!!!

Congrats to whomever pulled the trigger on him that day. Proves that even the 6th and 7th rounders aren't something to just piss away.

The Jets had 3 safeties on the field for most of the game and the tackling was very good in the defensive backfield. AA is an excellent wrap up tackler on the edge. He may be good enough at that to be a decent overall CB.

I was impressed when Allen went one on one with a WR, didn't take the bait, and made the drive ending tackle.

Its common knowledge in football , most Safties and LB's know how to tackle. Most CBs dont.

    AA is proof of that.

I forgot that this was the first game that Allen has ever played. I wonder what he could do against Gronk.

Lol I hope you're kidding. The reason I knew he could do this was exactly because of what he did to Gronk last year.

He basically covered him all game and hung in like a champ. Kid has skills for miles. Best late rounder we've had since Slauson.
