That was a sloppy but dominating performance at the same time. I'll take it. Gotta work on fixing the penalties which helped make it as close as it was and Salas has to catch that TD. But a win is a win. Bring on Green Bay!!!! 1-0!
We shot ourselves in the foot so many times we were lucky to walk out with the win. That being said it still goes down as a win.
i am somewhat impressed geno was better than i thought BUT DO REMEMBER this is the raiders with a rookie qb, hopefully millner comes back and makes that play walls couldn't at the end with jones if we played the way we did today we will lose the next 3 games. without the fumble and stupid mistakes? we might get 1/2 wins
Now the real test begins over the next 6 weeks. Can't make the kinds of mistakes and get the flags we got today and expect to win any of those games coming up. Gotta clean up a lot of shit before we can start feeling comfortable. Start with the flags.
Win is a win and I will always take it. That being said, the penalty bullshit has to stop as well as taking any chance to shoot ourselves in the foot with bad playcalling, drops, etc. Confident we will get it straightened out. GO JETS!!!
The penalties-turnover almost allowed them to grab defeat from the jaws of victory. Should have won by 20+.
A win's a win, and the Jets definitely outmatched the Raiders in virtually every facet of the game. But the Raiders are probably the only team in the NFL the Jets can afford to make so many mistakes against.
This was a mixed game overall. Geno was like the embodiment of the jets today. He looked a little more confident, much more efficient overall, but yeah then theres two TO's. They'd look dominant if they didn't get in their OWN WAY so damn much. That means cutting down on the line based penalties, that means stopping oneself from calling plays like a maniac. Skill position players looked fit to form and the secondary (especially Landry and Allen) played fairly well for what its worth, but none of this is gonna matter if the jets can't stop themselves from pulling a Plaxico. next week theres a much tougher passing game to contend with, and they're on the road, thats gonna be the real test, happy for the win but this won't cut it over the next few weeks.
