People has VERY short memories around here. Pouha was drafted as a KNOWN project... his fundamnetals needed a lot of work... from his footwork to how he uses his arms. He has the physical tools needed to be a NT. He relied on his brute strength and size to get by in college. That isn't good enough in the NFL. His steps were too long, and his feet too close together. He allowed blockers to get inside of him. All of those things are correctable, and he was showing signs of improvement at the end of the year.

Short, choppy steps, wide base, feet further apart.... all things he was getting better at. Once those things become more automatic, where he does them without having to concentrate on them, he'll improve a lot. I love ot when people call a known project a bust after one year. I know it in my ass.

Pouha is 27 n turning 28 this year, how much time does he really have to develop. Thats my biggest gripe

Thank you well said. You cant say someone sucks after one year Chadmancan near the end of the year he was getting better which is good. With more Coaching and Bryan Cox on the staff as an assistant D line coach i think he can light some fire under Pouha. He didnt even get that much playing time last year so how can you assume he sucks. I said in the games he got in he looked pretty good but he needed improvement which showed. He got better though towards the end of the year when he was getting playing time. Thats all he needs and he could be good.

two ways u can look at it. U can say he didnt get the opportunity 2 play how can u judge him or u can say he didnt play because he didnt deserve to play and he couldnt rise up the depth charts. You cant have a project who is gonna be 28 years old.

The fact that the FO inactivated him for so many games last year when we desperately needed a bigger DT is very troubling.

So what age isnt a concern when it comes to DT. Besides 28 isnt that old any ways we can get some good years out of him. Im gonna say he didnt get the oppurtunity to play and when he played he looked pretty good and with some good coaching could start at NT for us next year.
