They are 3-4 defensive linesmen. They aren't exactly supposed to rack up the sacks. They create pressure for the OLBs to capitalize, like Pace did last year. Sure it's great and makes the OLBs jobs easier, especially when we get pressure just rushing 3.

The reason they came up with the name is because all three players name ends in SON,But what about Ellis and Coples, and your right about Abyzmul

I have a nickname for you - the joyless one. Is there anything about the Jets that makes you happy or that you like? Why bother with this team or this board or this sport if it makes you so miserable? Are you related to Champ?

They say it during broadcasts too. It's pretty widely accepted at this point.

FWIW - I think that name is equally stupid.

Agreed another stupid name. Nothing like "Gang Green" or "Sack Exchange".
Let's call them..... Boardwalk Empire (oh joy!) or how about "Weeds" (you know they smoke em'), Barbershop(?) or even better "Nurse Jackies".
Do they even deserve a name at this point? I don't think so.

Do you even understand where the name came from? The alternative examples are retarded.

The guy who I really think is going to have a big year sack wise is Babin. He's a real good pass rusher who came to the perfect situation for him. Depending on how much he plays I wouldnt be shocked if he put 12+ sacks.

That is certainly open to debate. Your vote is noted.

    Nakamoto.com?

You continue to prove my point. There is no acceptance by any established mass market entity. A simple reference by ESPN to players' reactions doesn't prove any level of acceptance, just an observation that a handful of fans have a nickname that works for them.

Sons of Anarchy is a perfectly cromulent nickname. Legion of Boom is the gayest shit I've ever heard in my life.

Brother, I'm RIGHT in step with your sentiments here! That "SOA" tag is dull, unoriginal & maddd korny!
If you're gonna' use TV shows, Movies etc. monikers to label the front 7 - WTH- howz 'bout the "Walking Dead"?
"The DOME" (you're trapped by a powerful, unknown force)? "Twilight Zone" (where everything strange happens) or "Agents of SHIELD" (Supreme Humanoids Intent on Emitting Lethal Destruction). IDK, just
that SOA is straight stoopid; like my aforementioned tags.
