I don't get this one. I've been on amphetamines myself. It wakes you up and makes you focused. Just use caffeine instead.
and its like NFL network is letting him off the hook.... "before we jump to conclusions, it was for amphetamines..." Oh really, well if thats all, then we should just let him play..... unbelievable.....
Has he even been cleared to play yet? Seems to me a suspension shouldn't be enforced until he is cleared from that concussion.
Were the amphetamines somehow helping him get over the concussions? I'm not exactly a medical expert so it's probably a goofy question but considering how often he's been concussed lately and his quick returns from them you gotta wonder if something's behind it.
This is 100% his fault. He took Molly at the Kentucky Derby that was cut with amphetamines. Shouldn't have done drugs
@ProFootballTalk Source: Welker took Molly at the Kentucky Derby. It had been cut with amphetamines. Same situation as Orlando Scandrick.
http://europepmc.org/abstract/med/1910937 Now I'm no doctor, but if I'm reading that right, amphetamines alter the blood flow to the effected parts of the brain, possibly speeding recovery. I might be entirely wrong. If anyone has a better understanding it would be appreciated.
He was already gonna be cleared shortly. He was catching passes the other day from Manning. They were expecting him to be ready by week 2
Then it's probably better for him, because the hit he took looked far more damaging than he'd probably admit.
Newest report says the Broncos are expecting to have him for Week 1 because the suspension was announced "too late". Never heard that one before.
I can see that. Needed to give ample time for the Broncos to gameplan differently. If he was in their plans for Thursday, it's kind of hard to change everything in one day
Thursday? They dont play til Sunday night. I figure 5 days is enough. If it means him missing us in Week 6 then hopefully the NFL lets him play this week.
Oh, you're correct. I was thinking they were playing Seattle Thursday night, but that's Green Bay. My mistake.
Game is Sunday night. Broncos would be wise to just start the suspension now IMO. Welker is ripe to end up missing a lot more games if he gets hit again. They should use the suspension to their advantage.
