Good contribution. I thought you'd actually have a specific problem with anything, but it appears that you are all in.

Good soldier, even though you would not have survived Clinton's military.

I understand what the gunner position is, I'm saying that we need cornerback depth and Hakim obviously doesn't provide that

there are 2 Gunners. Lankster and Hakim were in those roles already, so obviously Hakim cannot play both spots.

I'm surprised by this move, as Lankster was a damn good STeamer.
I like the McFadden signing, but don't see Adams as a better option than Lankster. I've read McFadden is a good STeamer as well, so i'm guessing they are comfortable with him moving into the Gunner spot. still all very surprising.

We'll survive. Second string gunner is about the least important position in sports.

Adams plays STs as well and can help both in punt/kick coverage and returns.

lol, i wrote up an unnecessarily long and detailed analysis of our Special Teams after each preseason game. you can read it below.
    http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/preseason-special-teams-thread.81391/

Lankster was starting gunner on both punt and kickoff coverage, as well as a jammer for punt return.
He held these roles last year as well, and yes was damn good at it. if you didn't notice that, then you aren't paying attention on ST snaps (or at least not obsessively paying attention like I've been ;))

yes we will survive. just to be clear tho, there are 2 starting gunners on kickoff and punt coverage, and he has been our best one these last 2 years. so this isn't a second string spot we are talking about.

the 3 guys we have just signed all have some varying degree of ST ability.
To drop Lankster, they must be comfortable with them taking Lanksters ST role, while also offering more upside at CB. I don't see it, but then again i haven't really seen them in action.

Not debating that. Clearly debating why we dumped Lankster for a 7th receiver

Did you watch the Eagle's game he was toasted over n over n over again... we replaced him with a guy who is listed at WR but will fill the void on ST

Which is why we should've dumped him for another CB not a receiver that will not be dressed a single game. Powell will not fill a void because he will not be on the game day roster.

George signs to PS. Enunwa would make 10 if/when it happens.
