Could very well play out that way (I hope not) But no one on this Board, as far as I know, other than you and me saw that potential or even recalled his potential as a draft pick after they saw him play this Preseason. Belichek grabbed him and we hang our hat on Geno. Yes, he was a second round pick, but considering we have currently have old man Vick, no Simms, no Boyd we will probably find our backup QB playing from CFl or Arena league? Idzik makes no bold moves during the draft and not sure what he is up to now. Geno goes Russel Wilson great or we end up waiting for draft day 2015....maybe lock up another Garappolo.
Garpopalo (sp? Who gives a shit) is going to suck giant donkey dicks for years. Make it seem like this kid has done anything. 15years ago the the pats were a shit team with a shit following. Let's act like they didn't get caught cheating to win 3 Super Bowls*. The Jets might not win the Super Bowl this year, but for sure the Pats won't. Unless the league decides to get down on its knees gifting penalties, overturning calls and missing penalties the same way they did last year when the pats beat New Orleans, Cleveland, Houston, Denver and Atlanta. Fuck the pats they are getting ear holed this year
I wanna believe you about Gorappolo, but I'm afraid I don't. I think he is gonna be something special in this league.
You still need a running game something everyone seems to be ignoring. Who is the pats running back? What was the last season Gronk completed? What was the last season Edelman didn't miss weeks? What was the last season amendola didn't miss weeks? What was the last season Brady didn't have Mankins in his protection?
Dude, we're talking about future years here. For all you know they hit a gem at running back and receiver.
Are you a moron? Do you realize the way Seattle drafted was pretty much unreal, and perhaps unseen. There is no chance in hell Idzik matches what Seattle did over the last couple years. HELL there is no chance even Seattle matches in the future, the way they drafted the past couple of years. Super Bowl MVP Malcom Smith - 7th Round Russel Wilson - 3rd round Walter Thurmond - 4th Round Richard Sherman - 5th round Brandon Browner - undrafted Jermaine Kearse - undrafted Kam Chancellor -5th round Again talk to me when someone drafts/signs as well as they have, its insanity.
I really don't understand why everyone is ready to mouth this Greek kids schlong. He hasn't played one NFL game yet. I think we might squeak into the playoffs this year. Next year I see us making a play for one of the major FA WR's and continuing to build the core through the draft. Average this year, good next year, great and a perennial playoff team from year three on.
The pats have holes, today. Many, more glaring than a cornerback. If Brady goes down.. They are truly fucked, in every way. GarPoPolo, haven't played a NFL snap in my life, would be Godsend to Jetland
You're confusing what I and many others are referring to. We are referring to Gorappolo becoming an NFL starter that is very successful. Obviously he isn't going to do much if Brady goes down, but we aren't talking about this year or next year. We are talking about when Brady retires and hands the keys over to Gorappolo.
And the Jets dont have to be Seattle, Seattle was one of those freak teams that come rarely. They were probably the best Super Bowl champion over the last 10 years, they were that good. If the NFL landscape can flatten to where it was in like 2011, when an average Patriots team, and an average Giants team reached the Super Bowl because of the lack of overall good teams (especially in the AFC, the Patriots just walked right into the playoffs because the AFC was such garbage, then they beat Tebow, and then got lucky against Baltimore).
I still expect a winning record. If it doesn't happen, I can't see Ryan keeping his job. Four years in a row without a playoff appearance? That is pretty pathetic considering how many playoff spots there are now.
I hate the Pats, but think you're wrong. Their D is much stronger than the past several years. Brady is still Brady, and some of their young WRs and RBs are developing. I think whoever wins the AFC will have to beat the Pats to do it.
Patriots are the top team, they will have the 1 seed. Denver plays in a harder division, is not as good of a team as last year, AND has to play the NFC West this season, instead of the NFC East.
