At least he's the one that actually sacked Manziel. Orakpo did it after his teammate sacked Johnny. In what way is he an attention whore? Players do this stuff all the time. Gastineau's sack dance, the Giants ballin' celebration etc.. Everytime Manziel gets sacked defenders are going to be mocking him. It's amazing how much hate he's already generated in the league.
He's an attention whore for calling attention to his sexual orientation. Everybody has one. Also for the Oprah thing. As for the money sign, I hate when players mock somebody elses dance. Make your own celebration or don't do one at all
I thought this was kind of funny http://deadspin.com/michael-sam-bailed-a-fan-out-on-an-unpayable-twitter-be-1626451476
What do you suggest, Sam dry humping Manziel after he drove him into the ground? --"hey Michael, you're not wearing a cup!" ESPN's stupid "loner with a boner" report from yesterday: Another Rams defensive player told me that ‘Sam is respecting our space’ and that, from his perspective, he seems to think that Michael Sam is kind of waiting to take a shower, as not to make his teammates feel uncomfortable.
Actually the guy was a very good college football player and he looks like he can play in the NFL. He's got a few sacks in the pre-season and could end up being a decent situational player in the NFL . If he makes the Rams he is good enough to be on one of the best Ds in the league.
That doesn't take away from the fact that it's absolutely ridiculous that a 7th round pick, potential undrafted free agent gets extensive media coverage like he's the second coming of Strahan because of his sexual orientation. I don't care if you're into women, men, stuffed animals or midgets and neither should the rest of the world if you can ball on the football field. I guess the hope is that within ten years sexual orientation for anyone, let alone pro athletes, is about as irrelevant as what shampoo you use. Then the media can stop eating up crap like this for a guy who is battling to even make the team let alone make an impact.
Basically this. It's unfortunate that it is a big deal right now, however, force feeding it down everyones throats is not the solution. It's annoying as hell. I don't care if he's gay, good for him, even better that he wasn't afraid to hide it. But I truly don't give a fuck and don't want every NFL article I read involving Sam reminding me that he's gay. I heard you the first time.
Ram teammate Chris Long correctly called them out on it as well via Twitter: Dear ESPN, Everybody but you is over it.
My favorite two were Patrick Johnson doing the Dirty Bird in Atlanta in 1999 and Terrell Owens doing the Ray Lewis dance.
