Better than Hill having a 1000 yard season?
Better than Hill staying healthy and being productive?
Better than Hill being a dominant blocker on the outside?

Hill might very well get cut, traded, benched, or suck, but your "best thing" isn't even a good thing.

Are you saying that putting Hill on IR would free up a roster spot and that the "best thing" would be to keep Clyde Gates or some other schlub around? And then what - Do you feel Hill will come back and kick ass next year? If he sucks, why not cut him now and be done?

Is your post just a simple desire to see Hill get paralyzed or seriously hurt? What if Hill gets injured when his car crashes head on into yours? Is that still the "best thing"?

Rooting for injury is juvenile to say the least. If you don't like a player, that's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it. To root for injury, especially for a player on your own team simply because you want him gone is just wrong. No other way to call it.

Grow up and quit wishing harm to other people. Karma is a cast iron bitch sometimes.

lol nobody want hill.. i could only see hill prospering with Peyton Manning honestly.. the nice soft touch but deadly accurate...very catchable.. other than that, he just dont got it. What does he have like 2 catches this pre-season? IT would be different if he was actually getting open and not getting the ball but dude is consitently invisible on the field. He could be useful for outside blocking for CJ though...... -______-

Surprised panthers didn't make an offer if this was a serious effort to get rid of him (which it probably wasn't)

Did the Jets ever try Hill as a kick returner? He has good size and speed, but I'm racking my brain and I can't ever remember him returning a kick. Punts are a different story because of ball security, but I'd like to see them put him out there Saturday to return a kick or two.

Unless Hakim screws up badly in the Eagles game, I think the Jets will keep 6 WRs and Hakim will be on of those six. Hill won't, he is history. Those six will be Decker, Kerley, Nelson, Salas, Saunders and Hakim. In reality, they will only keep 5 WRs and Hakim will be kept because of his STs play. Based on the articles I've read, as a receiver, Hakim's hands are questionable. I sure hope they aren't questionable as a KOR. With the 5 WRs, Amaro, Cumberland, C2KJ and maybe even Sudfeld, the Jets should have plenty of receivers for Geno to throw to.

You see what happens is after the ball is kicked it flys through the air until gravity pulls it back down to earth. Upon such time, the kick returner has to catch the ball, then run it back up the field. Stephen Hill lacks one of the fundamental requirements to play said position.

This is a funny opinion to have on a board that wishes injury on opposing teams players on an hourly basis.

When people want to blame him for things.

Even if he was GMing, that then falls on our actual GM and Owner for allowing it to happen. The Head Coach should get a say, but the GM should GM.

I never once said I wish injury on Hill. If Hill were injured, I would be devastated. That being said, the best place for Hill from a team perspective is bagging groceries or IR. ANYWHERE but dropping passes for the Jets or catching SB passes for NE.

I'd still take Hill over Clyde Gates, but then I'd take anyone over Gates.

He deserved another chance to prove something, anything at all and he couldn't do it. No point in wasting a spot to a receiver who can't catch nor play special teams. Type to say goodbye
