This is bullshit. Like I said, I had a seizure. Went to the hospital had a ton of tests run, it was a fluke instance and was driving the next day. Greatest part? I live in Florida. Just because a guy has a freak imbalance in his brain that causes a small seizure does not mean he can't play a sport anymore and that he's prone to them again. I'll trust the highly paid and highly ranked doctors that deal with professional athletes.
true story: about 10 years ago a friend / old roomate moved out to CA. He dealt with some occassional bad headaches but thought was from his eyes (dude was blind as a bat without glasses / contacts). Anyway, he had a seizure behind the wheel at a traffic light, and hit the car in front of him (didn't recall any of it). Luckily this was right before he got on I5. After an exam it turned out that he had a large brain tumor..... luckily it was operable. He was surfing again 6 months later. 10 years later, he has a hot wife, 2 kids and a big ass scar on his head
A seizure is nothing to mess around with, but it seems like the Jets medical staff does a relatively good job with keeping injury prone players healthy.
The seizure free time frame is ONLY if you have epilepsy, if it unrelated to epilepsy then no time frame. Did you have a seizure while typing this? On another note, when my son was in high school he had a pencil that had a funky flourescent design on it. One day in class he was spinning the pencil and the girl next to him had a seizure, turns out she had photosensitive epilepsy or something like that.
When Pokémon came out in the early 90s there were news reports about it giving kids seizures because certain scenes had bright rapidly flashing lights for dramatic effect. Probably a similar deal with the pencil.
