I'm surprised noone said this about the Wildcat: NO. unless we have a Brad Smith Gadget player it is not worth ruining Eb and flow of Geno JMO
Cribs ran it well in the one game against NO last year. If they do it this year, it will be with Vick. Vick will look more to pass though than brad smith or cribs did.
Not true. Fantasy League stats are based on how players are doing NOW. If they also include opinions....well other than Eli what is the problem???? BTW Eli also has 2 rings, therefore he must really s--k. Lol. Go check it out on fantasypros.com before you declare them "unsubstantiated" . I don't care how Eli is ranked...where would YOU base Geno Smith based on your knowledge?? I am guessing you will look up how he did last year and this preseason via the internet the way everyone else does and then compare him to his peers. I included someone's opinion of him on where he stood Preseason and like many Jet fans you choose to ignore this. That's OK. If you believe GS will take us to the moon you may be right. I don't wish anything but good for him, he certainly has improved. I have optimism for the team and the running game looks awesome. We had an anemic offense last year with Smith, but no real weapons. Now there is Decker, CJ, Richardson, some hopefully decent draft picks and more hope in the bank. Please show me your stastistics on QBs, be interested to see how they differ from what I've posted.
Not sure if you misunderstood what I meant or I'm misunderstanding your post. I meant I'm looking forward to watching them run wild over defenses, not run the Wildcat. Fuck the Wildcat. I hate that shit and also think it messes with a QB's rhythm.
To be BALANCED you must have a solid Rushing attack. A balanced Offense isn't about an equal (or close) number of Pass:Run play-calls. Being balanced is about having an Offense that's capable of running or passing for positive production at any point in the game (obviously, excluding situations like a "gotta-get-it 3rd Down and long"). With this running attack (and assuming the OL is strong), one half the equation is solved. Sure, we need to see it for real, but I'm pretty sure that anyone with eyes can tell that the running game will be a force. Now, if pass protection holds up, Geno takes the next step, and MM moves the right chess pieces, then the Jets Offense will be more balanced than it has been in a long while.
Eli is not the 11th ranked QB according to Athlon he is grouped at being between 11 and 20. IMO fantasypros has it right putting Eli in the 20-30 rankings.
