Certainly answers on offense are in place, pass-rush as well. Sadly, the secondary is as bad or worse than expected. Dee's return should help, but #20 is an unmitigated disaster and will be abused weekly...
Well, hate to see the d give up a 91 yard drive to end the half (which they've had a habit of doing late in halfs and at the end of games), but overall you have to be very happy with the fist half. Jets dominated in every way. Geno looked fantastic (would have had an even more impressive half without that brutal Decker TD drop), we ran the ball very effectively and the d line generated a constant pass rush! Overall, very pleased. Now let's get the starters out and head into the regular season relatively healthy!!
Don't worry, we won't have Lequan Lewis out there. Jets looked solid for 28 out of the 30 minutes today. I'll take it.
Coples gets the nod for the first half. Four man rush is making an impact most of the time. We are gonna need that with our corner situation. Need more Lankster and less Wilson in the second half.
Looked pretty good besides that last drive... And this is without our top 2 CB's....AND double A is hurt. It's all about context.
I hope Allen is ok, but that notwithstanding we are hurting badly with our CB situation and Wilson is regressing even as a nickel back. If and when we get out starters back we are still going to be paper thing in that area. Double up on the wire alert next week Idzik. We have no competition nor depth at CB Geno is looking 1000% better than last year. That is a big plus.
