Wilson looked terrible last night which is too bad, I thought he could bounce back strong this year. One of Walls or Patterson will have to step up BIG time for this secondary to be passable. Luckily for us I think Walls has what it takes to do it..
Were there? Vontae Davis was not leaving the Colts for less money, and we would have been stupid to give him any more than he got. Having Revis here served no purpose for Idzik's philosophy (which you're a moron if you argue against). DRC was overpaid by a team that needed to overpay to give their aging QB one last shot. If we signed him to that same deal it would have been a mistake. Verner didn't fit the system, nor did Flowers who looked horrendous in it last year. Cro is the one and only card you can play here.
my uncle is a huge packers fan and we talked about going..but a 4:15 start and the travel and missing work/classes the next day would be rough
Maybe he's just a poor player whom everyone wants to blossom but clearly isn't happening? We played plenty of cover 2 last year and he's still not good. Stop blaming the scheme when the player clearly doesn't fit anywhere.
Man you guys like to argue for no apparent reason. I'm not blaming the scheme. If anything I'm blaming the FO for drafting a Cover 2 CB to play in a press man scheme. Also at no point did I express he would be a good cover 2 either; I just believe that his skill set is better suited in that kind of system. The fact that I have defend myself as not being a Wilson apologist is hilarious considering I despise Wilson and have no idea why Rex continues to trot him out there under any coverage.
Too bad you won't be up here for a December game. Then you'd really have the Packer experience. Come to think of it though, pretty much every game I've been to has been in the first half of the season.
idk he looked good in 2012 to the point he could be a future starter. kinda went a little low on me for thinking a former 1st round pick could have a productive season.. especially in the nickel.
BTW did you notice our corners are not average. Watch that Bengals game again, you would not be able to tell our starting secondary from our backups.
I know but i was pointing out that the niners can make a defense effective with lack of a nÂș 1 corner. Just a point maybe Rex could figure it out as well.
Yeah, it sucks, but no level of planning can save a team from their top 3 at any position from getting injured. How many #4 corners in the league can be relied upon as starters?
